I called ahead to let them know I would be about 30 min late - was met at the door by nice lady who directed me to an older lady (who got up off the couch where she had been watching a program on a laptop computer and did not appear to speak English well) for the tour. The common rooms & kitchen appeared to be clean and well appointed. She led me back to see the rooms - of which were occupied (I declined further tour). I saw no interaction of staff with residents. The staff could not tell me the cost of the rooms. Rating: 1

When we walked up to the front door there was an ashtray on a small table full of smoked cigarette butts. Knocked on the door and waited awhile, when the person answered he was surprised to see us. We entered the home and immediately saw two people sitting on a couch and a chair. Neither person said hi or smiled, they were residents receiving care from this home. The attendant brought us further into the home and rushed over to contain a resident who was over in the corner near the fireplace as she had picked up what looked like an electrical cord. He took the cord quickly out of her hand and no,no, you can't have this. Then put his arms around her to get her to sit in a chair. When that happened the woman started yelling 'no don't touch, don't touch me'. It was dark inside the house and the main person could not come out to see us and told the attendant to tell us they had no empty beds.
