Jefferson Lodge has cared for residents with memory care needs in the downtown Dallas, Oregon, community since 1972. With 41 apartments and a warm, home-like atmosphere, Jefferson Lodge is committed to providing the best environment for residents. The present management staff has over 30+ years of experience working with those suffering from memory loss and associated diagnoses. This level of experience helps residents and their loved ones feel confident in the staff’s ability to provide quality care. Jefferson Lodge is located near area shops, restaurants, and medical centers, and enables convenient access for regular visits.
In order to provide residents with the best possible care, staff has developed a care model using the least intrusive care delivery available. Discreet pagers are used by each staff member to reduce resident stress associated with sounding calls and alerts throughout the building, so the environment remains peaceful.
The community is also secure with coded entry/exit to prevent wandering in residents with memory-related conditions. We're paying for highest level of care, which I don't believe is correct. It's encouraging to see new employees on the staff. I believe Deborah is responsible for a lot of the improvements. I hope it continues. The facility does not have a good name in the community. I hope that will change. I would like to mention [name removed] who was so patient and helpful during a very stressful time for me. And [name removed] for being there whenever we need him.

The community is smaller with approximately 25 residents. The attentiveness, kindness and professionalism of the staff stand out most to me. There is a formal dining room with table clothes and they have two options for the residents to choose from for meals. They are checking on my loved one several times a day, bathing assistance, and my loved one is very well cared for. This community has two large outdoor areas the residents are able to wander in.
