I love living here, and I love the sense of community!

We like here. No problem.

I absolutely love the community. All of the staff, cleanliness, activities, and care here is unmatched. Resident happiness and wellness is always put at the forefront. I could not have my family member live anywhere after here.

Everyone is so friendly and the staff takes good care of everyone. Feels like home! I don't participate in activities but that is a personal choice that works for me.

We picked this community, because of the location and it's comfortable. They are very friendly and we feel safe.The food is not good and I'm not happy to be paying for what it is. I would recommend it to other families.

Recently my sister needed to move from their assisted living facility to their memory care. The management, nursing, and care team were incredibly helpful. Her care has been very good in memory care and she has adjusted well. Thanks to the team of people they have.

The main reason we chose Independence Village of Waukee over others we saw was because of the ability to move into assisted living, long term care, memory care or recovery from surgery as needed and still stay in the village. It's a great place to live!! The only problem is getting through lunch under two hours, they need to hire more help.

This is a great place to live, great staff.

Love my apartment. Love the staff. Very friendly environment, very beautiful place to live. I feel very welcome. I just love this place. Best part of my day is my conversations with receptionist.

So far, so good. They help me with various things- when need arises. More visits to Prairie Meadows.

I love it here! Everyone is so friendly and calls you by your name! I'm so impressed. My daughter moved me in here and I'm so happy with that decision!

A little dissapointed. They need to improve with the onboarding process. The director seems to be clueless, with what's going on. We picked this community because, they had a doctor on site, they offered gradual care as needed, it was a close location, and the meals appeared to be good. They need to improve on, little things like leaving a note, and indicating that things were fixed. It would also be nice, if they had a schedule of laundry days on the door, to help the residents remember things. The staff is super friendly. When they engage with the residents, they are super nice to them.

Our experience has been okay, and I would recommend them overall. The other residents are awesome. We've just experienced some loopholes/Issues trying to get things done, so we've had to do lots of follow-up.

I think they’re very good overall and would (and have) recommend them to others. That said, no organization is perfect and IV has some opportunities to improve internal communication. For instance, they still publish activities, critical contacts and much other important information exclusively by printed paper.

My dad had complications after heart surgery. He also has dementia. He is receiving skilled nursing care. The staff is friendly and caring. We are thankful to have this care so close to our home - also in Waukee.

I don't know if I could have found another place who does as well. The people here are great and the .5's in my ratings are pertaining to them being unable to get people in, like housekeeping. I understand that that's a problem across the board, but other than that I'm very pleased. Communication is very good; I'll text people, they respond well and they take care of things. Their maintenance has been fabulous, within two days someone is in fixing and taking care of things. I don't have any complaints at all. I would struggle finding another place that does as well for him, listens to me, connects with me, and does what needs to be done. I am very involved and I'm unsure if that makes any difference to people who aren't as involved with their loved ones - but that's just how I am!
