My father has been here for 2 years. I am glad I never read reviews because they are not our experience. The building has gone through a few management companies and I think that led to the issues in the past. My father loves being here because they have a corner store, exercise room, activities on Sundays, they have access to fresh food giveaways as well. The building is huge and the social interaction with people my fathers age is what I think keeps him looking forward to life! You cant get in the building unless you live there and I think that's awesome. My father has made so many friends and almost all of the residents are near the same age so they have the best gift of all here; each other. If you want to sit your parent somewhere by a window for them to live out their last years in depression and loneliness with no one else their age around, this is NOT the place. They will have friends here and people to hang out with. I am happy with Homer G.... Read more

This is a trap for Black Seniors citizens. Everything advertised (Amenities) here is a lie. I had to fight roaches for the first two months before they stop squatting in my apartment. The water is either too hot or too cold and can not be regulated to make warm water. It comes out sudsy. I have had to buy three space heaters because they say there is nothing wrong with the heating unit because it is blowing out air (unheated). NO HEAT and you pay the electric bill. The staff and maintenance people are slum minded people. They think there is nothing wrong with living this way. Those who can afford to move out is hit with a $1400.00 lease violation and the only way to get around that is to stay a year and be ready to get out when the lease is complete.

My father lived there and when I gave notice he was moving out he rent was paid to the end of the month. This company went in before the end of the month and removed the items from his apartment. The management company said they would reimburse him for the value removed and lost ([Removed]) but they failed to honor there word. The management company is not dependable and the staff is equivalent to a stepford wife. Be very careful.

The facilities and amenities are fair, nothing exceptional. Unfortunately the staff is inept at best and, unless your income is extremely low, you will pay market rent. For that price, you could live in a much better neighborhood managed by staff who at least pretend they are interested is servicing the residents. Also, be particularly careful when moving out. They like to add additional charges for things like, "improper notification". Would not recommend.
