This was an answer to our prayers and we think that this community was absolutely tremendous. They had activities at this community like coloring and more, we visited her three times a week and we had great visits with our loved one. The difference from the other community my loved one was in she is a lot more alert and she is interacting with us a lot more it is a complete difference and she talks majority of the time now. They are very hands on and loving and we are very pleased.

Home Sweet Home has been wonderful and we have had no complaints. We chose this facility because it was more one on one care, there are only 8 ladies in here so it is more of a homey setting. It is a very large ranch-style home and the room sizes are great, but they don't want them in their rooms. They have a beautiful outdoor garden setting as well as a path for exercise. I would absolutely recommend.

I found [Removed] to be very thorough in his explanation of what he provides for those in his home. Right now my mom prefers to be with family, so I told him to give the bed to someone else.

I do not want to put him in a place where there is just women. No activities. What do they do all day??? Watch TV??

They are very good about keeping the home and the people clean, and they cook meals from scratch everyday. At Home Sweet Home I really do believe that their vision of the best care for elders is that everything be kept quiet. Nobody really talked, it was kind of discouraged, not in an outright manor, but the vibe in the house was just to kind of keep everyone quiet. They kind of sit in recliners and watch old movies and sleep the day away, and for some that is comfortable, but it wasn't going to work for my loved one. There was no real attempt to do activities with the people. I think they could use some training in engaging with that age group with people with Dementia. There were two caregivers 24/7 and eight residents. It was a very good ratio, and there were many things that were good about it. But it is a home for people who were quiet and doesn't like to or can't really talk or socialize much.
