About the facility Hollisters Assisted Living Home

We built our home and opened it up to Veterans in 1980, on our 25 acre farm. This means we have been in business for over 30 years. Our staff includes myself,my husband of 44 years, and one attendant for 4 years. I have an RN and LVN on call when needed.The LVN comes out every Sunday to make up medications.

I have an Associate degree in Business Management, an EMT-I, and a CPR instructor, as well as a volunteer firefighter. My husband is the local Fire Chief. We opened our home in 1980 to keep veterans out of the VA Hospital in Waco, Tx. I could offer them a place in the country,quite, and a safe place to live and out of an institution. A couple of our clients have been here for almost 20 years, and a couple have been here for almost a year. Along with the nurses I have on call, a Dr. comes to our home every month, and some of our clients need physical therapy and general nursing care, so a home health care agency sends them to our home.
