After over a month of searching for a safe spot for my friend [named removed], I was referred to Holiday Springs, Napa. [named removed],was so understanding and helpful and , tho I worried it might be out of [named removed], price range, I accepted her invitation to come for a tour. [named removed], met me that Sunday, showed me around, discussed all features available for [named removed],and brought in one of the contract caregivers. Altho she covered all the bases, I was still worried about making such a big decision for another person, taking [named removed],away from the only life she had known for 50 yrs in San Francisco, and dipping into her limited reserves. The following Friday, when [named removed],insurance company abruptly stopped paying for her much needed rehab, I was forced to make a decision. Fortunately, the team at the Springs was ready, and facilitated her move 3 days later. Now that she is settled in, I am so happy to have this caring and helpful team on my side - and [named removed],! Many thanks for everything! [named removed],

My experience when evaluating the facility was exceptional and the reason that I chose The Springs for my and my husband's new home. The sales and community managers presented the The Springs as a community - met numerous residents who all were positive about living there. I was shown all of the facility and its amenities. We have moved in and are very happy here.

Our family had an in person tour and it was overall a nice tour experience
I would recommend the community. The pricing The food is good. The staff is friendly and easygoing, they also have independent contractors. The structure is well maintained and built, since it was a former hotel. It is very clean. It is near a hospital and close to highway 29. It is within walking distance of shopping.

We do like the other residents that are at The Spring community. The rooms at this community are functional and the food they serve is about average. We would recommend this community to a family or friend.

My Mom has been in this facility for 4 years now. Everything about the Springs has been great until the last year concerning the food. My Mom is not one to complain about anything unless there is a need. The quality and quantity has taken a major dive. For instance, there use to be 4 to 5 choices of fruit for breakfast, now only 1 or 2. The choices the residence have are not appetizing and no one is listening to their complaints. The added reason I am writing this review is because my Mom has not been feeling well so has had her meals brought to her room. Every time the meals are cold and not what she ordered. I find this very unacceptable. Nutritious and appealing food is a vital part on ones existence especially the elderly. This has got to change.

This independent living facility has gone downhill since my relative moved in a few years ago. There has been no live in manager for the past 2 years, nor a night manager past 7 pm to help in any emergencies that might arise in the evenings. They cannot keep a good chef, the meals are almost inedible, portion control is all over the place, and they even run out of food at times. This food situation has been going on at least for 9 months and is horrible for the residents who rely on the food offered by the facility, which is paid for in their rent. Many times residents walk away from a meal hungry as the food was such poor quality that they could not eat it. One resident who complained to management was told that if complaints did not stop they would be evicted. On another note, they are now allowing couples to rent apartments even when one partner has dementia, and the facility is filled with people needing caregivers. I can understand seniors needing some help, but this is almost an assisted living facility but with no licensing or regulation. Rents go up every year for those who could not afford a buy in when they first moved in, but services have definitely gone down.

Response from Holiday Springs of Napa
April 30, 2019Hello, we are disappointed that you have not been happy with your experience with The Springs of Napa. We switched to General Management model a few years ago and have given all the residents a GPS-enabled, 2-way communication device that is answered within in seconds should any issues of any kind arise when a general manager is not available.Your concerns about food quality and residents has been shared with regional management. If you have any additional concerns you feel should be addressed please reach out to us at [removed] to discuss this further.
I like the care from this community. The staff is wonderful and she is happy with the attention. The community is clean, but a little improvement. The menu is very good and a nice variety. She likes the many activities with the other residents. We would gladly recommend families to this community for the good value and care for family members

We toured The Springs of Napa and really liked the community. It is beautiful on the outside and the inside, very inviting. The staff was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. They provide plenty of activities and entertainment. The only reason we did not choose this community is that we found one closer to my home.

One of the places that I toured was The Springs of Napa. The facility was clean and everyone there was very friendly. It was a good experience, but not the best fit for my mother.

Very nice community but it is an independent living facility and they felt my mother's dementia might not allow her to fit in with socially with the residents. Similar to what she's experiencing where she is now.

Everything that they have done has been wonderful. Rob, the sales manager, as well as the whole staff, has been very welcoming and helpful. They have made it a smooth transition for my mom and for us it has really been great. They have really good activities that she enjoys. I have eaten there a few times and the food is great. I really can't even think of anything they could improve on. We are very well pleased.

They have listened to the needs of the family and of our mother who is staying there and they have been very accommodating, going out of their way to meet our requests and help out. It shows that they genuinely care. We really like and would highly recommend them.
