We toured with Park Plaza and I thought it was a very nice facility and great tour. The downfall is it is strictly independent living and they were not able to provide the care and needs that my loved one had.
We picked this community because, it was close to home. We were dissapointed with the food, for the money being paid. The food was not that great or things on the menu were not available, and they offered limited selections. It was a clean, and great place. The residents seemed happy.

Park Plaza is a friendly environment and we are very pleased with the apartment size. It appears that not everyone has the same price for an apartment, I think it depends on where it is located so that might be something to ask about while looking. There could be more clarification as far as menu availability. Overall it has been great and we are happy and would highly recommend them to others looking.

The community is nice, but more assisted living than memory care. I would recommend this to anyone not needing memory care.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this community to others.

I called on a Sunday the 2nd which was my mother's 98th birthday. I called the nurses station because my mother didn't answer her phone and I wanted to wish HB. I did NOT want to bother the nurses as they have their hands full already. They were so nice, gracious enough to go to her room, come back and tell me to ring thru and she answered. You have no idea that act of kindness without making me feeling like I had put them out was the best. Thank you for your kindness and professionalism.

Your whole staff have gone to great lengths too keep our loved ones safe and healthy. Thank you for everything you have done. I was at Park Plaza caring for my dad, when the lockdown started, and saw first hand the quick changes you made, even before most other establishments even thought about their clients safety.

I didn't need to move, I owned my Home and felt safe there BUT I wasn't leading the life I wanted. Most of my friends were younger, had families and things to do that didn't involve a 69 year old widow. I had no family near and I basically sat and read, ate junk i.e. no veggies, I ate pizza hamburgers anything I could get to take out or once in a while go out to eat. I worried about pipes freezing, I worried about other household things too. Now, i don't have anything to worry about except what I'm going to do, go shopping or not or which book I'm going to read next. Here I have friends my own age, I can come and go as I please, three good healthy meals a day. I've lost some weight because now instead of opening the back door and letting the dog out in the yard I take her for walks 4 or 5 times a day. She loves it here to because she's a people dog. I wish they had some travel activities like going to the beach for three or four days in the spring, summer, fall. Would be fun and I think a lot of folks would want to go and maybe some folks from around the area that don't live here too. We, the activities director and I are going to work on it.

The guy who gave us the tour of the community was great and did a great job. However when we met the management, I didn't like them as much. Since then we have heard some issues from some residents who live there. I felt there was a conflict between the staff and management. They were a large community, bigger than what we wanted.

Mom loved the people and the bright clean atmosphere. She also fell in love with the grounds. The creek and trees, everything. She can hardly wait to move in.

I like the care here for my father. The staff is very caring to his needs. The community is clean and he is very happy with the meals. The activities are really health. He seems to like spending time with the friends he has made there. We would recommend the care of this community to other families.

Response from Holiday Park Plaza
October 12, 2016We are very sorry to hear this was your impression, Bebe, but appreciate you coming forward with it nonetheless. We take great pride in our staff and management teams, so this is very concerning to hear. If you are able, can you please provide any more detail for us surrounding the nature of your complaint? We'd like to follow up with our management team so other folks hopefully don't experience the same . Thank you!
This is a nice facility that is clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and professional.

Mom was excited about the prospect of moving to Park Plaza as she is familiar with them. Working on the VA angle to enable her to afford the move to P.P.
