I am very comfortable in this community. The place is well maintained and home like. The room I'm in is pleasant, there is plenty of sunshine pouring in every day. There is a grocery delivery system in place for the residents. There is also a salon in the community. They offer 3 meals a day in the building next to mine. The maintenance is scheduled every Friday for anyone who needs them. Overall i am very happy and will defiantly recommend them to anyone.... Read more

4 years ago my 71-year-old Mom moved from her home of 50 years to an independent living senior facility at 1910 Graham Ave. We were overjoyed at the community and amenities the owners [name removed] Bothers offered and we thought she had found her next real "home". She was allowed to choose paint colors, the rent was affordable and the whole place had a very friendly home-like feel to it. She was very happy there. Last year the building was sold to Oppidan with Ebenezer as the property management company. It's like a nightmare. They raised her rent $120 a month and went from a yearly lease to month to month with the option to raise the rent any time they like. They are forcing her to move out of her apartment to temporary housing that doesn't even have a telephone so they can "renovate" and put in a lot of changes that she didn't ask for and doesn't want. All the while pretending like they are doing her some kind of favor. They refused to let her keep her wall colors, she has to be without telephone or internet for at least 3 weeks while still paying for the service, she has to pack up all her belongings and to access her car she has to walk to the garage which will be 2 buildings away from her. I warn anyone in the area that has an elderly relative to avoid facilities owned and managed by these people, they are heartless. My Mom was perfectly happy with her living situation the way it was and the only reason they are doing this is for the almighty dollar.

My Apart. is very nice-****. However, longtime residents do not recall the last time outside windows were ever washed. They and I have made many requests. We are put off. The volume of building security intercom is very low at main door- cannot be heard inside apart. -a safety issue. Poor lighting in halls & garage. Elevator floors are very dirty. Common areas are dark and dreary-ancient dark furniture. Maintenance requests for inside aparts. are handled quickly.

I have lived here 1 1/2 years and think the management is terrible! They do not treat senior citizens with respect at all. They do NOT communicate what is happening in the building including gas leaks! They don't answer the after-call emergency number. They don't fix things or let you know when something is going to be fixed. Right now the air conditioning is not working in any of the hallways or the community room. They won't supply any information to the residents. The building manager is someone who got this job as her first and does not know how to communicate in a timely manner to residents nor does she seem to care when you complain about the lack of communication. I would never rent here, if you are looking for someplace to be. The people who fix things do a sloppy job and try to blame you when something breaks. POOR, POOR MANAGEMENT! DON'T MOVE HERE!!!!

I am a little disappointed that I cant get a parking spot indoors. My wife is ill and it would be very helpful to have indoor parking . She needs a wheelchair, and its very difficult at my age to handle, especially in the winter.
