We chose Highland Court because of the fact that she would be able to stay in the same facility when private pay ran out was key. It was very clean as well. Unfortunately, some days are short staffed. However, I can tell you, as someone who visits daily, that the caregivers work very hard and try their very best to care for the residents with fidelity. The housekeeper is spunky and is all go, go, go. She has taken the time to sit, put her arm around my mom, and try to help her feel comforted. The staff all demonstrate patience and love at all times. The few who have come up on my "to watch" radar have not stayed long. The director is committed to keeping only those capable of treating others with dignity and kindness. The caregivers and med techs are good.... Read more

I really like most of the staff. They are kind and caring. The food doesn't offer much variety over time. The housekeeping does a great job of keeping the rooms clean. A better phone answering system in order to get hold of residents would be welcome. Sometimes the staff is too busy to Get to the phones but we need to know our loved ones are safe and can call us or we can contact at any time.

ALL THEY WANT IS MONEY!! They do very little for the people under their care. My wife was there and was cold for over a week - no socks, no long sleeved shirt and just pajama pants. She has Reynard disease and continuing this could result in amputations. STAY AWAY FROM YHIS PLACE: IT IS AWFUL!!!

I paid $80020 for a month. My wife was there 20 days and they sent a Bill for another $1000. My wife never received any care or assistance. She was only fed and left alone. The Place looks good, but it is all about getting every dime from the people who think their loved one is being cared for. It is a Ripp-Off Joint. Stay Away.

A Place for Mom has scored Highland Court Memory Care 7.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
