A Great Place to Live!

We moved here to Heritage Meadows in Cambridge about 3 years ago, and have been very happy and comfortable since then. We were welcomed into the Family by the management teams and friendly staff. They made sure we were introduced to all the amenities available and the Activity Co-ordinator encouraged us to join some of the activities (although we were never pressured to participate if we didn't want to.) The food was always first rate, but has suffered somewhat from frequent changes in head chefs this past year. It's a work in progress, but we have no doubt they will find the right fit soon. Because of this, we must assign a rating of 4. This should in no way take away our overall comfort here at Heritage Meadows, especially in this time of the Covid-19 Pandemic. At all times we felt safe and protected ....... they took care of us as if we were there own parents/grandparents. Our families felt the same!... Read more

My home

I have been at Heritage Meadows for a little over 3 years. I had been diagnosed with epilepsy in 1980 and with PNES, Psychogenic non-epileptic seizures. After a few health scares I went to stay with two of my children because they were worried about me living alone. After a year we decided I should look for a place to stay were I could be with others, independent but safe. Than I developed blood clots in my lungs and doctors told me they were caused by a malfunctioning mitral valve. I needed open heart surgery ASAP. I came to live at Heritage Meadows in [date removed] I had my heart surgery in [date removed]. With 3 homemade meals a day, Coffe/tea available all day everyday, weekly housekeeping, laundry facilities, lots of activities and more, it has been easy to make Heritage my home. The staff are wonderful and caring. Our activity director, maintenance staff and shuttle driver are amazing. Let’s face it nothing is perfect but life at Heritage Meadows is pretty close.

I met with the Manager who lives in the building, very friendly, helpful, staff seemed happy. They had no model suites to show as everything was filled but a resident allowed us to visit her suite, she had lived elsewhere before and likes this place much better, she gave a glowing recommendation. Clean, well maintained building, good meal selection, good location, Bus service and shelter at front door. Shopping and Restaurants a 5 minute walk up the street. YMCA next door, Nature Preserve and trails behind.
