This is where you want your loved one to stay and enjoy their final days and months. A beautiful, quiet, lovely and tasteful home, with so many flowers and plants, a beautiful front and back yard, a welcoming entrance and efficient yet comfortable rooms, Helpful Care Home should be considered the shining example of what hospice and senior care can be. Monica and her staff go above & beyond required care; you would think the house was full of relatives. She shows genuine concern and affection, truly running her business by The Golden Rule. We used Evergreen Hospice as our provider, and we couldn't be happier with the combination of these two fine caregivers. The food is home-cooked and delicious. The home feels like a home, not a sterile, functional environment. There is daily interaction with the caregivers and the other residents; not quite a "senior dorm" but certainly not depressing and stale. You actually feel like you're visiting a home - which, thanks to [name removed] - you are. Our Mom stayed and died peacefully at Helpful Care Home, and she did not die alone. From moving in to passing away, she was always cared for and attended to, and that peace of mind is and was so worth the cost of her room and board. The experience was priceless. I would recommend them without hesitation.... Read more

It was about $1000 less than the other place I looked at. They go above and beyond, I think. they don't have a real active group there for activities. That's the only downfall is when my mom went there, there were a few active people there but those people have slowed down so there are not too many people for her to interact with. That would be my only concern and of course that's out of their control. I looked at a few places and I felt this had a much warmer environment because the owner is personally involved. There are people coming and going and they have a dog and a cat. That cat probably saved my mom during the transition of moving in. She spends all her time looking for the cat. I think Monica is really involved with everyone there, much more so than just a caregiver would be.
