Response from Hawks Ridge
December 16, 2022Thank you for your review. Providing a clean and comfortable place to live for our residents is one of our top priorities. We are happy to hear we are providing quality care to your loved one.
The values and concerns that the staff have for the residents are consistent and positive. Often they go the extra mile to help me. My room is very well laid out and complete in what it offers. I'm a very social person and I appreciate the ability to engage with so many of the residents and staff. Living at Hawks Ridge does not limit me to pursue my favorite community interests.

My experience at Hawks Ridge has been great. The staff have been attentive to my needs. I moved here so I can be near my son. He lives nearby and now is able to visit me very often. I love my apartment, it's very inviting and comfortable and I enjoy watching what's going on outside.

November 23, 2022Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this review for Hawks Ridge Assisted Living. Our staff strives to foster a positive community experience for all our residents, and your feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks Dennis.
I think they are wonderful, the best to work with. It's a solid company to depend on. I enjoy the fact that they are concerned about different issues that affect people with physical conditions. It's nice to see them work with people who need special care.

Response from Hawks Ridge
November 23, 2022Thank you David, for taking time to write a review. We strive to provide excellent care to all our residents. We will share your kind words with our staff.
The care is not consistent. Day-to-day care does not happen on a regular basis. Needs are not met. Family members have to advocate for their loved ones on a daily basis. And the cost is not worth what you get. I have been very dissatisfied with our family's experience at Hawk's Ridge. There is a high rate of employee turnover. Employees are not knowledgeable about what their job is. More training is necessary, and employees need to be paid for what they're doing, which is not happening. The high cost of living goes to upper management and not toward the service and care of the people who actually live there.

November 4, 2022Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your experience. Our team strives to provide a friendly and warm environment and your feedback helps us improve. If you are willing to discuss your concerns further, please reach out to us at ResidentExperience@frontiermgmt.com.
The staff here have been friendly and are trying their hardest during these times, she does seem to be getting good care. The communication has not been good. They would be on lock down and family would not be notified so we would show up for visits and not be allowed in. The cable is not included in the base rent and the apartments are very expensive, I think that should be included. Their marketing director were very nice during the move in and made it seamless, she helped my mom set up her room. There is a very big nice dining hall, so we are excited for that to open back up. It is also in a nice neighborhood. Overall, for this area it is one of the better facilities.

My Auntie is 80 years old. She has been living at Hawk's Ridge for quite a few years now. She was living on her own, very confused, very unsafe. I was beside myself trying to care for her, while working and caring for my family. She refused to live at an assisted living home. I convinced her to take a tour there... She was very impressed and actually WANTED to move! We got her all set up in her cozy apartment and she loves it there. I haven't had to worry about her since she moved. She has made a lot of friends, she has gone on outings and gone shopping with Hawk's Ridge. They handle all of her medications, they handle all of her transportations for medical appointments, if I cant make it. They keep in close contact with me if there are ANY issues with her. It is just a lovely situation all the way around! Oh and let's talk about their food! Oh my goodness! Great Chefs prepare wonderful 3 course meals. Awesome variety and choices. I have had the pleasure of eating some meals with her there and was NEVER disappointed. They have age appropriate musicians come in from time to time to play music from her era. I have to give a shout out to [name removed], as she has become one of my Auntie's favorite caregivers. She is caring and has patience... My Auntie can be quite stubborn sometimes and [name removed] seems to have a way with her. We can go visit her there. We can come take her out whenever we want to. It is "home" and she loves it! My heart is happy that she is being taken care of by these wonderful people! Thank you Hawk's Ridge! What a blessing you are!

Response from Hawks Ridge
November 9, 2020Deborah, thank you for sharing your positive experience with us! Your review means a lot. We will continue to do our best for your Auntie! Sincerely, Ben Brandt Executive Director Hawks Ridge ALF
Here’s the truth: The psycho director [name removed] is a chronic liar and a cheat. The staff and management are afraid of his retaliation, so they go along with his unethical ways and spontaneous rules and demands. Run away from Hawks Ridge as fast as you, your friends, or your beloved relatives can. It’s a twisted environment, with ever changing rules, and attitude from the management. The truth is that the people running Hawks Ridge don’t care about the residents, they treat it only as their job, with no acknowledgement, dignity, or respect of it being your relatives “home”. Please DON’T let them get their dirty, greedy claws on your loved ones!

Response from Hawks Ridge
December 31, 2019Nancy, we're sorry to hear about your experience and would certainly like to hear more. Many of our staff and residents express positive sentiments about our current director and team, so these concerns come as a bit of a surprise. Please reach out to us at [removed]. We'd be glad to listen to your side of the story. Thank you.
I have many opportunities to see assisted living centers and Hawks Ridge does an outstanding job of looking after the needs of their residents. They go out of their way to ensure that the needs of their residents are met or exceeded.

What isn’t asked here is: *Fulfillment of contracted services *Honesty and compassion of nursing staff *Quality and enjoyability of meals *Intellectual programs and outlets *Level of theft from patient rooms *Administrative oversight of onsite staff My wife is, sadly, a tenant here. While we have to give rave reviews for the kindness and selfless efforts of the under-trained and underpaid staff, we would have to give the above categories failing grades. *Many of the daily requirements for patient room care are totally ignored. Her guests wash her dishes and make her bed. *The staff nurse is totally lacking in empathy or compassion and has only a vague relationship with the truth. Her lies and misrepresentations are legendary among staff and patients *most meals are poorly received by the diners... Salami sandwiches are not appropriate nighttime fare for the elderly. Clearly, the meals are planned with a financial objective rather than nutritional. *tenants are warehoused here. There is no sense of community or an attempt to help tenants of similar awareness and abilities interact. Meal seating is ‘assigned’ as though tenants are kindergarteners. *theft from tenant apartments is rampant. Not unexpected from a minimal wage staff but definitely controllable with appropriate effort and background checks. *local administration is either lacking or indifferent. No one from a ‘modern’ country wd accept lukewarm water, subpar food, and dirty dishes as acceptable for anyone in their care. In a nutshell - not somewhere you want your loved ones to be.

I have no complaints about how things had went for my tour at this community. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions I had for them in detail. I thought the overall experience was pleasant it was just not the right location for our family in the end decision.

After his stay at Hawks Ridge, my brother is back living his in own apt. They were wonderful too and for my brother who came there in a wheel chair and left walking with a cane. They made sure that he got PT while he was there and because my brother still needs some help with his medications due to his diabetes and heart conditions they worked with him on that before he left as well. They supplied transportation to for his doctor appointments and even took him to the ER when he had a kidney stone. My brother really liked the food and going to the dining room. There were lots of activites, something everyday including shopping, teas and special holiday events, music, and sunday services for those who wanted to attend. Hawks Ridge was just around the corner from my work so I got to visit often and when my brother was leaving we were all crying because of his amazing care and they loved him being there so much. We felt very bested that he was there at Hawks Ridge.

The people at Hawks Ridge were quite friendly when we visited the first time. They are aggressively helpful, and I mean that in a good way. Very proactive in making sure things are taken care of. The only area of improvement I can think of is that my mom has made some comments about the food not always being to her taste. Not that it's bad though. It is also very easy to get a hold of anyone when we have any questions.
