I would tell others looking into Haven Memory Care that if your loved one or patient is a fall risk, they will ask them to leave. Even when we had already told them he was a risk before moving in. Moving my loved one twice was not good for us or for him.

Many promises of good care, however, did not deliver. My relative fell so many times in the first weeks. When contacting the nursing staff there was no answer of the phone. Trying to find out about a loved one will be frustrating. I heard that agency staff was there, but, didn't realize that the care would be so negatively affected by those workers. This facility has serious staffing issues.

The facility was very clean and "homey feeling. The staff and residents were pleasant, friendly and inviting. We plan to move in in a couple of weeks. I will give additional feedback after a few weeks there.

I can’t rate this home low enough. My father lived there for a about a year. Recently he began having mobility issues, more severe memory issues, and some behavioral issues due to his Dementia. As expected he was getting worse. They decided he was uncontrollable and sent him to a psychiatric hospital where he was diagnosed with a UTI. As one knows, that can be devastating to a Dementia patient. While he was in the South Baldwin Psych ward, The Haven sent a letter telling us he couldn’t come back. This is the kind of care you will experience there. When the disease progresses, they will dump your loved one. The report they generate will then make it very difficult to place you loved one anywhere else.

This facility is absolutely horrible!! Everytime you call or visit the staff has changed due to someone being fired or quitting. They will not keep you informed about your loved one and quite frankly, act as if they could care less about any concerns you may have. Do your homework when choosing a facility. No wonder they have 17 empty rooms. If I could give this place 0 stars I would!!!!!

After looking at different options for my dad this facility had the most to offer in regards to the amount of care my father needed. He is settled in and seems happy. He interacts with the other residents and staff as best as he can. He enjoys the food to where he has put some weight on which is encouraging. The staff is great extremely friendly and personable. The community is in good shape very clean.

My loved one is doing great since her move to this community. It was quite and adjustment at first, but the staff helped a lot. I do not have anything to compare it to, but I really do feel this was the best option that we needed to take.

I took a tour of this community and thought that it was great. It is a little smaller than we would like, but it was nice. The people were very nice an attentive to answering our questions. We just didn't like the outdoors area that much. Also they did not allow pets and that is a big thing for my loved one.

Mom seems very happy here. The staff engage her daily in activities like bingo and exercising. They are so kind and treat my mom with so much love and care. Mom is stimulated by all the different groups that talk with her and that come in to visit. The community offers many healthy food options. The chef even asked for a recipe of my mom's favorite dish and offered to make it for my mom.

The facility at The Haven Assisted Living & Memory Care is brand new and is spotlessly clean. The staff is incredibly friendly and well versed int he care of their residents, especially those with memory problems. They are very attentive and caring. It has been a very good experience. For the money (compared to other places) this is a really good place and an ideal situation. We are very pleased and would highly recommend The Haven Assisted Living & Memory Care!

A Place for Mom has scored Haven Memory Care 3 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
