It was a rocky and lonely road attempting to find the perfect home for my mom of 90 years. She has advanced Alzheimer’s and doesn’t walk. I could not take care of her any longer, juggling full-time work, worrying about her living in a home mostly alone 6 hours per day, along with watching her mental wellbeing eroding. Well God must have given me a nudge in the right direction. [name removed] appeared during a search. A kindly woman who finds homes, sets up and attends the appointments. The second place we visited was The Hallelujah Adult Family Home, far more than I expected. What a warm, wonderful, cozy six-bedroom home. Within its walls are planted loving, caring people with an adoration for their seniors. Everyone always greets me, we hug, share stories, food, the news and laugh. Mom is improved. Don’t tell the Doctors, they won’t believe you; however it’s really true. She was pulled up from a dark, lonely sub-existence from her old home and is now surrounded by happy, funny, busy activit... We tried to keep my dad in his home as long as we possibly could. His Parkinsons and dementia had just gotten to the point where he couldn't be st home on his own anymore. He was falling everyday and having bad hallucinations. Hallelujah was the first out of four homes I looked at and I knew as soon as I stepped in the doors that this was the place for my dad. [name removed](manager) and [name removed](caregiver) go above and beyond to make this a wonderful home. I am so thankful to have found them. They truly care and try and make it a wonderful home for all of the residents. My Dad is doing so much better in just the few months he has been there. He hadn't smiled in so long and to see him smile again surrounded by the amazing people in this home makes me happy beyond what I can put into words.

We were so happy to find Hallelujah AFH for our mom. After suffering a fall and very poor progress at a nursing home for rehab, it was clear Mom could not return home. We met with staff at Hallelujah AFH and made an instant connection. My mom, who is very slow to warm to anyone has already decided that she wants to hire their staff for herself should she be able to go home. They’ve made a real effort to get to know her, tailor a personal care plan that meets her needs and made the transition of moving as easy as possible. In my mom’s case she was completely lost at the rehab facility, she was confused, barely eating and too tired to participate in any physical therapy. She’s been with Hallelujah for just 3 weeks and the root cause of these issues was finally identified and now she’s able to focus on healing from her fall. The staff is very kind, attentive and make their place really feel like a home. My husband and I actually rest easily each night knowing she’s in such good hands!
