I would definitely recommend it to a friend or other family member. I believe that everyone there is very caring, understanding and experience. Also the community that their homes are located in is extremely safe and convenient to many types of stores, restaurants, and medical facilities

I chose this community because we liked the feel of the staff and of the overall place. Also, I like the time the owner took with me on our first visit, very thorough. The room size is good, my mom is in a single. My mom is not fond of the food, she says it is routine, although it is nutritious. Our favorite part about Good Samaritan Assisted living is the staff, they take very good care of the residents.

They are very conscientious about keeping the community clean. The staff is very friendly and very approachable. They also are good with communicating with us about our loved one's care. They have been very good with my mother.

[Removed] and her family live on site. They and additional staff provide a warm and inviting atmosphere where residents stay together in common areas of the home and receive individualized attention at all times. The medical and health needs of residents are conscientiously addressed and each resident's family members are kept informed about medical, health, behavioral, and emotional changes and needs. Suggestions are offered to families who are willing and able to provide additional enrichment and support. Birthdays and holidays are celebrated with family dinners and stories and essential clothing items are often given as small gifts on such occasions. Families can be confident that their loved one's needs for safety and physical and emotional well being are always the top priority of [Removed] and her dedicated staff. I highly recommend Good Samaritan Assisted Living to families seeking a residence where their loved one will receive superior care, coupled with a loving environment of concern and compassion.

Modest neighborhood cul-de-sac location. Darling bedrooms. Everything spotless. Four different sitting areas plus a summer patio. Priced within reach. However the staff can handle only the most tractable dementia patients. Mayas approach to any aggression is to scold. (Humor is not her strong suit.) Unless your loved one is predictably docile and quiet this is not the place for

Well kept. Nice family that runs the community. But not the right fit either

Modest, solid-looking neighborhood, cul-de-sac location near family homes (including the home of the owner's daughter and grandchildren). Small single bedrooms; small but suitable shared bedroom. Everything absolutely spotless. When I first walked in and saw the formal living room, I thought (after having visited Sylva Villas), ?Oh, another living room the residents can?t use.? But that wasn?t the case. Good Samaritan has three different sitting areas for the residents: the front living room where I sat and visited with the owner (my only suggestion would be to open the blinds to let the sun in); a couple of armchairs next to a window by the kitchen, and a sunny back room with a big TV -- plus a patio in the back yard where other back yards were visible. I appreciated this variety. I could imagine my dad sitting near the kitchen while th eowner cooked, or chatting in the living room with visitors or with the other man who lives there, or parking himself in front of the big-screen TV to watch a ballgame. Also, there?s a dog named Boxy ? kind of an annoying yappy one (a pug), but I can see how the residents would bond with him (he is fat from snacks), and my dad likes dogs. This place seemed to be the best value.

A Place for Mom has scored Good Samaritan Assisted Living 9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
