I would recommend to other families. We are very happy with GoldenHills. We picked this community, because they had a nice set-up for hanicap. It was also clean, and friendly.

It was a total nightmare, after I moved my loved one into this facility. The staff was not attentive towards my loved one. They didn't have any activities. I felt like they overcharged me. I don't think that other families should be sent here, and they should not be in business. They only seem to care about money.

They are allowing some visits in the entryway with your loved ones. The only issue we have had is it can be hard to understand the staff members, especially while wearing masks. I would recommend them to others looking.

It's only been few months since my loved one has been here. The connection and individualized care is more personal compared to the larger communities. I believe Golden Hills Care Home has 6 residents. They have the option of individual rooms or shared.

Starting price was $4,500.00 which is too high for our budget. Room was nicely appointed, however on the smaller side. Not much room for a recliner or her personal things. [Removed], the owner was very nice and staff seemed cordial also. Not a good fit for mom.

I like that the staff understand the care my mom needs and her needs. She is doing good since moving in. Mom gets a family meal environment when she eat her meals and she has not complained about what they make. She is not able to join in the activities but they take her out to the front patio. It is very nice and she likes to watch the birds. The home is kept clean and my mom is nicely dressed with combed hair.

This is not the place for your loved one if they need any kind of help during the night, also if they are not able to walk very well. They charge extra for anything that they need to do during "off hours" they advertise as a 24/7 care home. They can only assist giving meds but don't make sure that the client takes them. When you go here everything looks clean and is very pleasant but you will notice that none of the clients are in the living area. They are all in their rooms. Not knowing better we had my mom here and found out that this is not the norm. every place that we visited after this one the clients were in the living area with the aids. Not once did I every meet the owners wife who we were told was a "chef"

Response from Golden Hills Care Home
October 14, 2017We're saddened that this review has damaged our reputation and standing in the community, despite its inaccuracy and misleading nature. But we are extremely thankful to the numerous families, past and present, who have expressed genuine appreciation of the meaningful experience they all had while we cared for their loved ones. And to the 6 other reviewers who provided factual / realistic assessments and a 4.5 stars average, we cannot thank you enough.
This might be the one!

Really like Director. Very educated about health care and able to assist family, getting items that Aunt will need. Like how they handle the meds. Home is basic, but fits the needs.

Owner was very personable - shared stories about the residents. Room too small for two people. Shared closet and dresser - very small. Step into shower, which is small. Has friends that are MD and RNs for emergencies. Wife is a chef and she teaches staff. Encourages residents to walk. Big, grassy backyard with huge orange tree. Owner or wife usually on site.

A Place for Mom has scored Golden Hills Care Home 7.7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.

Eastridge Residential Care Home, a beautiful senior care facility located in San Jose California is a great place to live and rest. This active community is nestled in a very quiet neighborhood, adding peace of mind to its residents. Being a smaller assisted living facility gives staff a chance...
