Golden Hill Adult Family Home

Very nice home, bedrooms have hospital beds and Jack n Jill shared bathrooms. Residents engaged in group exercise / ball throwing game in living room when I arrived. Large screen TV on. [Name removed] was highly praised by a gentleman living there since last July- he loves living there! [Name removed] is very organized and the home is neat and tidy. Large outdoor deck w/ woodsy view. Cookies and coffee offered. Approx $7500/month.

I am and RN working with this community and from what I have seen and witnessed this facility is very safe, the residents always look clean, well taken care of and happy. The staff at this facility are well trained and the owner, [name removed], is always attentive to every resident’s needs. I would highly recommend this facility.

Moving my grandmother to a family home or facility was a very emotional and difficult decision. We interviewed many places in the north Seattle area before choosing moving her to the Golden Hill Adult Family Home 4 years ago. I am so grateful we choose Golden Hill! [name removed] and her staff are very kind, loving and patient with grandmother, who has dementia. She has received the best care. I can’t imagine having her anywhere else. The house is beautiful, spacious and very clean. The porch is one of my favorite places to spend time with my grandmother, mother and family; it is so peaceful and beautiful. Anyone who has been to there will understand. I highly recommend Golden Hill to anyone looking for an adult family home.

My mother-in-law has been with Golden Hill Adult Family Home for nearly 5 years. The environment is great and the staff is professional and caring. The facility is well laid out and extremely clean. The resident's rooms feel very private. The food is nutritious and tasty. There is a large deck in the back for the residents to relax. The owner, [Name removed], is a very good communicator, and leads a very good staff who are attentive to the needs of the residents. We feel very fortunate to have found this facility to care for our loved one.

Our mother has been cared for at Golden Hill Adult Family Home in Shoreline for the past four years and I have only good things to say about our experience with them. I would recommend Golden Hill to anyone one who looking for a quality living experience for their loved ones. The beautiful home is located in a quiet natural setting surrounded by trees. The common areas are roomy, light and designed so each resident is afforded privacy as well as welcome in the open spaces for group activities. The home is meticulously cared for and kept exceedingly clean. The roomy patio/deck is a great place to rest, and relax and to gather and socialize. Staff at Golden Hill are well trained and are the most caring people I have known. They give the residents care and comfort and always have time for me and our family. I have complete confidence in not only their skill but that they really care about the residents in their home. I come to visit often and have and have always been treated like a welcome guest. [Name removed] and her staff have my complete trust and appreciation and they always make time for my family and my questions. [Name removed] her staff have provided our family with the knowledge and security that my mother is in the best Adult Family Home and is being very well cared for. .

I am an RN consulting with Adult Family Homes and families in the Seattle metropolitan area since 2004. I have been working with Golden Hill AFH continuously since 2006 when I placed my first client there. My clients were and are always well cared for, clean and respected. I am particularly impressed with this provider's sharp eye noticing when there were subtle changes with my clients' conditions and her proactive communication and advocacy for them. The food and attention to nutrition and hydration is excellent as is the attention made to skin care. She excels in working with the primary care providers and ancillary medical staff coming into the home to provide care, including hospice. I would not hesitate to place a loved one at Golden Hill. Given the breath of my experience, I have been in hundreds of homes over the years and Golden Hill is one of the best AFHs in our community.

My mother-in-law has been a resident for nearly 4 years. The owner [Name removed] is extremely conscientious and she has a great staff. The food is nutritious and plentiful with snacks and deserts. The facility is very spacious and extremely clean and well cared for. The arrangement of the house allows each resident privacy. The setting is nice with a large deck for the residents to enjoy the nice weather and have meals al fresco. Safety and security are well addressed with strict control over all medications. [Name removed] maintains a close relationship with my mother-in-law’s primary care provider. Couldn’t ask for more.

I cannot imagine the misunderstanding that led to the horrible review. I suspect they reviewed the wrong business or work for a competitor. Mom was on hospice care and her doctor guessed she had a couple months left when Gratiana graciously took her in to Golden Hill Adult Family Home in Shoreline. She was nursed back to good health and lived there for six years! It was such a relief to know, every day, that there was no better place for her to be. She was lovingly cared for, bathed, groomed, fed and interacted with every day, regardless of our presence. We sometimes arrived to find Mom fully made up with her hair done just because it's nice to feel pretty. Gratiana came to love football because Mom loved the Seahawks and they watched every game together. We lived nearby and stopped by often for six years, I never once saw something amiss or neglected. The food I sampled was delicious and made in house. The meds are kept under lock and key and the staff is courteous and professional. It is CLEAN. I could not recommend an adult family home more highly, really. Thank you Gratiana!!!

Gratiana is the best. I am so glad mom spent her last 6 years here. She was on hospice with only a few months left when she moved in to Golden Hill, but the healing care she received nursed her back for years longer. It was such a relief to know mom was comfortable and cared for constantly. I absolutely recommend Golden Hill adult family home.

Absolutely horrible experience here! They are rude, don't speak English well, will slam the door in your face, never take anyone outside for a walk, the residents are locked inside the house. The only time I've seen someone leave is in a body bag. DONT TAKE YOUR FAMILY HERE!!!!

This house is lovely inside and out! Nicely decorated & exceedingly clean. Was greeted at the door by owner& two small dogs (Mac & Jack). Each room has a hospital bed unless resident want to use their own. Owner lives up stairs. House has 6 rooms with 2 CNA's on duty 24/7, one at night. Meals 8,11:30/4:30 plus snacks as needed. All rooms have bath room ;NO They have a Hoyer lift. Meds are under lock & key. Grooming,dressing/shave provided. Laundry done daily. Resident to provide their own under-garments. No planned activities as such but can go for a walk in the neighborhood if the patients wishes to do so
