Fundamental - Mira Vista

I love how clean it is and how open it is. It does not feel like it is closed in, it is light and airy with lots of open common spaces. The staff is incredible. We have enjoyed our conversations with them.

The people are nice, and it feels like a safe environment. It's clean.

Not only the staff but all the residents have been so welcoming. It has really made the transition into the facility easy. We have now been at Mira Vista for a couple of weeks now and it is going well. I would say there could be better communication between the nursing shifts but overall the staff has been very friendly throughout the experience.

They may have a lot more turnover in their people. I think they have more of a transient workforce.

I would not recommend this facility to anyone. The stay has been terrible and the smell of the building is horrific. The staff is not timely. When I need help they are not coming in a reasonable amount of time. It is bad both day and night but I would say it is worse at night.

My loved one was comfortable and everything seemed alright. The staff was helpful and friendly. The woman who did the admitting was helpful. She answers all of my questions and the paperwork is all ready when I arrive there. It does not stink.

It's awesome over there! Their rehab therapists are getting him up and pushing him to do what he has to do. All the nurses do a great job taking care of him. Even admissions and social workers are really on top of it!

Their rehab therapists did call me and have an extensive conversation with me. They are great and have been very personnel has been very helpful, informative and better than any place we have been. Their communication is outstanding! They have communicated with us twice as much as anywhere else!

Everything has been great, especially the people! It's been wonderful so far.

The rehab therapy team is great. We did have one unpleasant encounter with some of the staff, and everything and everyone else has been good other than that. Everyone is just wonderful there. I've been in the dining room and the food looked good enough that I wanted to try it. The whole staff, from every department of my mother's care team, had a meeting with our family and everyone was very helpful and answered all our questions.

I would recommend Mira Vista. The stay has been fine for us overall. The meals are not great. Some of the choices are kind of wild. They are more concerned with having vegetarian options for residents. I know that yesterday she was not served dinner. There is room for improvement in communication. The nurses do not take the time to really go over each medication.

We're impressed by the different amount of people checking on her. The meals don't look appetizing. The first day we brought her in, no one fed her or asked why we were there. Their doctor, physical, occupational therapist, nurses, and contacting both me and my sister.

They're friendly. It's clean. She's a picky eater, and we're trying to work through that. They communicate well! One of the things that were upsetting was the calendar stating a therapy dog came, and it only came for 20 minutes and she wasn't able to see it.

The facility is wonderful! Rehab is going well in his room. He is moving his legs and arms in his room for now. Speech and respiratory therapists are good. The nurses are competent and he cannot call for help. I have to remind them to check on him. The nurses assume he can handle more but not yet. The staff is very nice. I always get updates there and answer my questions. They all work with him and answer questions.

The facility is pretty nice. My loved one is taken really good care of. The staff has been very friendly. I haven't seen any major issues with cleanliness. The meals look pretty good. My mom hasn't complained, and trust me, if there was anything to complain about, she would complain! The staff has been communicating anytime there is an issue or concern.

It takes a long time for help with the call light on. She likes Daniel the physical therapist. Miriam the aide talks to my mom and is really personable with her. I have to ask them if I want updates. When I visit her she does not remember what they told her, and I have to go to them for the care plan.

The people in the rehab part of it are exceptional. But the nursing side and hospital side is very poor. Some of the nurses are great. They sometimes gave my loved one the wrong ordered meals. A couple of times she didn't get a meal!

The service has been excellent. They are nice and helpful. They are trying to help her eat right.

The staff is very responsive and have his best interest in mind.

Oh, it's very clean. They communicate very well - top of the line! They are kind of short staffed, but they are very sweet people. We have had a little confusion, but they do wonderfully when they do come. She is always wanting something else to eat.
