Franciscan Manor

The place is clean and most of the staff is kind and friendly. There seems to lack of communication between management and staff. When things go awry, management will point fingers and make excuses instead of stepping up quickly and making corrections. The food is terrible and the people that own this place or make the meals should be required to eat the slop that they serve the residents. Food is always cold. Meat so tough that you can’t saw through it. Kidney beans on a hoagie sandwich. Everyone complains and the food gets worse everyday. The food is inedible. This place also cleans up bad reviews so only the 5 star reviews are posted online.

They are short staffed currently! Mixed some good meals and some not so good according to Mom! Great activities and frequent entertainment. Great value Based on the experience we would recommend this community to other families looking into the community

I would tell others looking that they have a family member that has Veterans benefits don't have Franciscan Manor suggest Elder Consulting .. I was very disappointed with them and the owner is rude .. hung up on me assumed I knew all that I need to do. There's no value once VA benefits kicked in they expect payment every month which is billed in advance.

When I walked into the building the receptionist was very friendly. The staff all greeted me when I walked to my moms room. Building was beautiful and was very clean. I stayed to have lunch with my mom. Our server was very nice. Brought our food fast and it was delicious. All staff is kind and helpful.

All staff that I encountered were very kind, friendly, and welcoming. The community was extremely clean and without odors and food was delicious. Dining room servers were very hospitable, friendly, and accommodating.

The move in was flawless. The food at Franciscan Manor was very nice, but no one helped my 102 year old Mom open containers. She was paralyzed on her dominant side. She was afraid of a few of the aides, felt that they were too rough. Others were very kind. The billing was a slight problem, no one addressed billing concerns monthly regarding items that Hospice provided, we were charged. They finally corrected it when she passed.

Nestled in a beautiful setting, Franciscan Manor stands as an example of compassionate care and community for the elderly. I visit the nursing home monthly as my dad is a resident for the past year. This is a facility that exceeds expectations in providing a home-like environment for its residents. With many activities offered every day, the facility goes above and beyond in ensuring that residents lead fulfilling lives. From classic bingo days, singers who sing '50s and '60s songs that evoke a sense of nostalgia to movie nights that bring everyone together for a shared experience, the activities are designed to cater to a range of interests. On-time delivery with correct medications is crucial for seniors with health concerns and the staff keep impeccable records and provides needed medications like clockwork. Above all else, the staff are caring, attentive and friendly and treat my dad very well. He is happy and comfortable and fees safe, which creates peace for me.

We picked this community because of the location. It meets mom's needs.

Franciscan is a nice facility. I wish there was more communication with the resident's family and updates on how they are participating & adapting. We picked this community because of the transportation services/location.

I feel they are short staffed. Nice rooms. Beauty salon is convenient. My mom isn't able to use many amenities due to a stroke. I was grateful for A Place for Mom, and Franciscan Manor for placing my Mom so quickly when we needed. Most of the aides are very kind and loving to my mother.

This community is very beautiful. Its an old mansion that was taken care of by monks, that is how it got its name. It has been modified, the bathrooms have all been upgraded. The rooms had an older feel, however they have been kept up on. Its more on the ritzy side, high priced, but very beautiful. The grounds were beautiful. They had a lot of good activities. They place felt like you could actually get lost in it. They had elevators here and there. I wouldn't actually put my family here, but it is a absolutely beautiful community.

It's very clean and the staff is very friendly. The money that you spend is well worth it for the care. There are certain caregivers that go above and beyond, and there are certain ones that just want to get the job done. There are some younger girls that don't know how to handle the dementia as well as the older ones. Maybe just a little more dementia training for the younger ones, would be good. When we have spoken to management and they have done much better. I love it there, and he loves the food. It looks very appetizing and smells great.

My parent still had the ability to clearly walk and talk. This was not a fit as many residents needing further care or were not as mobile. He was not a fit.

A family member has recently moved into Franciscan Manor and our experiences there so far have been very positive. The administration and staff have been extremely helpful and friendly. The facility itself is quite beautiful and welcoming and the schedule of activities provided for residents there is very impressive.
