Family Tree Assisted Living is in Pflugerville, Texas, an established Austin suburb. With about 60,000 residents, Pflugerville is known as one of the best places to live in Texas, and most residents tend to be families who own their homes. Much of the city used to be farmland, so while it was established in 1860, the city looks and feels new. But in Pflugerville, it all comes down to the people. The people in Pflugerville have a sense of humor and a love of fun, whether it’s at the Pfarmers Market, or at the Music in the Park concert series on summer Fridays (pfurry friends are welcome). For those looking for outdoor activities, the Colorado River is 15 miles south. Austin offers a wide range of cultural experiences, including the SXSW music, technology, and film festival each spring.
Family Tree Assisted Living offers skilled senior care in a warm, homelike setting. Residents and families can choose between private and semi-private rooms, and everyone has access to the many communal areas such as the outdoor patio, movie room, and exercise rooms. All parts of the facility are wheelchair accessible, and the 24-hour CNA staff takes resident health seriously.
At Family Tree, seniors are...

The director and the other staff members really care about the residents. I would recommend Family Tree and so would my sister and niece as well!

We needed to find an assisted living place for my [age removed] year old father, [name removed] with dementia. He had been living with us for 6 yrs. He'd broken his hip in a large assisted senior home. We are happy that we took a chance on Family Tree. They are the most kind, sincerely, caring & professional people. They put the "care" into caregivers.

The staff are wonderful but the environment was not the best for what my loved one needed. They were very friendly until we decided to leave. Once we gave notice they were not friendly at all. This is more of a hospice community or for someone at end of life. There are not a lot of activities and there is no transportation for outings. This community is not good for someone that is capable of doing these things and getting around.

The community treated my loved ones like family. The communication was good between the community and our family. They kept us well informed and up to date. I would recommend this community to others.

Definitely not. I showed up early and the first thing the Director said to me was, "Oh, you weren't supposed to be here until 11:30". I offered to come back and she then invited us in. [name removed] showed up as we were leaving and asked about what other places we were looking at. I got a real funny look from him when I mentioned Spanish Oak. It looked like he knew his place didn't compare and he somewhat then wrote us off. Family Tree didn't have a TV or hook up in the bedroom or a Hoyer Lift and the bathroom was too small for maneuvering my dad in on a lift. Bad smell when we walked in. Renovations going on. Was kind of dark.

They were fantastic with my father who had a lot of health issues to deal with. He was not easy to care for, and they worked very hard to make sure he had the best care possible, and was supervised and taken care of better than I could have done. They are very knowledgeable about elderly health issues, and very compassionate about the elderly living with them. My father felt loved and accepted there, he told me they took care of him as if he were their own family. The owners are there everyday during the weekday, and there is always staff there 24 hours per day. I felt very secure having my father live there. I could tell that the owners and other staff loved their jobs and truly cared for the residents,

What struck me about Pfamily Tree was the overwhelming compassion of the owner and her employees. It was clear that their hearts are in it - they care deeply about their residents and strive to make their lives as comfortable as possible. The home is small, but not in a bad way. It feels like home, and there is plenty of room for each resident to engage in their own activities privately, without being out of reach of staff.

My Mother has been at Pfamily Tree since October. Judy and Vonnie and their staff are wonderful. The owners are in the home the majority of the the time so they really know what is going on with the ladies living there. The home is beautiful, food good, care is exceptional. It is as close to her living me ,but they have more patience. I am an RN so I appreciate the updates the staff give me, the attention to her medication, and the 24 hr supervision. They picked up on several issues my Mother has that we did not know about when she lived independntly. I would highly recommend this home to anyone.

It's a wonderful place! Mom in like a little dorm room. There are four people in that area. It's something I didn't think she'd like but we haven't had any problems. She fell and broke her hip but they are more than willing to work with her and the home health care people. I stay very involved and they don't seem to mind that at all. I'm always asking questions and they don't every put me off. Whenever I call is a good time. They're very nice. The different CNAs do different things with the residents. They play games, walk them outside, do their hair and their nails, play cards and do puzzles -whatever the people like to do. They're always trying to find something my mom is interested in. The place is clean, doesn't smell, the beds are always made up, the people are dressed -not laying around in their pajamas. It was like taking my to a nice home. It's not ostentatious but it's nicely furnished with people that care. I just got a good feeling when I went there.

It's clean and very nice. They do help my mom with everything she asks for like computer help and everything. She loves it. She was there for about 3 or 4 weeks and she said she felt like she's been there forever and that's a positive thing. It's very comfortable and she's very happy. She says the food is good. We like the fact that they have a doctor coming in regularly to check on everybody so the residents don't have to go anywhere. They seem to be very good with requests. My mom asked for some craft supplies and they went out and purchased it for her. We're paying for it but they did the leg work to get it. Everything is just wonderful! It's a huge relief!

I don't really have anything to compare to but I think the cost was fair. They had some cooking and some thing where they let the people put some flowers in. They had reading, computers, and tv. My mother was only there for 2 weeks because she passed away.

A Place for Mom has scored Family Tree Assisted Living 8.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
