I cannot say enough good things about Family Extended Care. The care, dedication and compassion shown to my mother during her stay, and especially during her final days is more than our family could have hoped for. The facility is bright and engaging. The Director & Head nurse were always present and accessible, addressing and resolving any concerns we had. The facility clearly takes pride in the name Family Extended Care, my mother was cared for like a cherished family member, with the utmost dignity and respect.

Our overall experience with Family Extended Care of Sebring was positive. He was only here a few days before having to be transferred to another facility for a higher level of care.
Sadly my mom passed after only about 3 weeks there. She went downhill very quickly. The people at family extended care were all very compassionate and caring. My mom was comfortable during the time she was there.
The staffing needs to be increased but they are doing the very best that they can with the staffing they had. [name removed] is fantastic! So caring and kind. Our loved one has passed away and is no longer there, but we would recommend this community to other families.

Unfortunately my mom has passed away. We were very happy with Family Extended Care. What we liked most about them was the caring staff. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we had It was unpretentious & felt like a family. We didn't feel like they were just a business trying to make money.

Our family had an in person tour with Family Extended Care and they seemed shabby, however the smoking patio was a big no for us. They also were dealing with the damage caused from the recent hurricane.
Response from Family Extended Care of Sebring
April 12, 2023Thank you for your feedback, however, our construction phase has been completed for several weeks now and our building looks better than ever and our current residents are very happy with how everything turned out. Additionally, we have two access points to our two courtyards so the patio does not need to be accessed. We try to accommodate all of our residents, whether they smoke or not. We welcome visitors anytime during business hours to tour our facility and receive information regarding the services we offer. Best of luck to you.
I visit about twice a week, and it's always very clean. They serve three good meals a day. They check on my person's meds and administer them properly. The staff is very polite. It has been a good experience, and we've had no problems.
Our family had an in person tour and the Family Extended community is very impressive we would love one day to have a family member live there. The staff were just wonderful to speak with, very on top of everything and extremely professional.
There was not enough staff. The place was not clean. When we moved our loved ones out I felt bad for those still living there.

Our family had an in person tour and we liked how the rooms opened up to a secured courtyard, and the size of the rooms seemed pretty reasonable. The staff members were courteous, but we did not see a lot of interaction at all. The community to use just seemed fairly old and run down.
I would recommend this community to others. The staff is always keeping me updated on my loved one. The communication is a good part of the equation here.

I've been able to see my loved one outside on a porch for visits. I would tell people to very seriously consider Family Extended Care. They have been able to keep in contact with us about my loved one if there is any changes. If I call or go to drop things off for my loved one, the caretakers will take the time to speak to me about my loved one. If you give a hello, they smile and say hello. When I moved my loved one in, I received a hug. This community makes it feel like a very warm environment. More importantly to me, is my loved loves it at Family Extended.
