ExtraCare is a home care agency that offers several services for seniors living in the greater Los Angeles area. An ExtraCare manager is always on duty – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, weekends and holidays included. Services offered include personal care, companionship, light housekeeping, transportation services, meal preparation, and medication management. Seniors can live in safety and security in the privacy of their own homes with affordable, high-quality, non-medical, in-home care from ExtraCare. The free initial evaluation is typically done by a registered nurse and takes less than an hour. It is strictly a questions-and-answers session, where the nurse gets to know you and your family and can answer any questions you may have.

The staff and admin were very nice and friendly. It's obvious that they really want to help you. They were really nice people. I had told them specifically what our needs were for my mom, and the first caregiver they sent was amazing. But she needed full time work and wasn't able to come back. And then it seemed like they just started sending me anybody and everybody, regardless of whether they met our needs, which was really frustrating. I think our issues in finding another caregiver was partly because of our part time care needs. I think if you need full time care, then this is an affordable option.
