This facility has been pretty good. The staff is all great. They're always friendly and outgoing. They're good at their job, just overwhelmed. The staff has good intentions, but the follow through isn't always there. I'd love to see them add more staff to help with that. One issue caused by being understaffed has been medication management. Medications aren't always given on a consistent schedule, which can be an issue for certain meds that should be taken on a consistent basis. The other issue has been daily trash collection, it's a hit or miss. Again, more staff could help improve that. The food is ok, but the quality could improve. It seems to be more like elementary school lunches and not well balanced. They do offer a lot of activities. I think it's a nice place, I would just like to see more staff. Overall, I would recommend this facility to family and friends.... Read more

A Place for Mom has scored Evergreen-Dickinson with 6.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score based on 1 review in the last 2 years. Over all time, Evergreen-Dickinson has 3 reviews with an average "overall experience" of 4 out of 5.
I realize all assisted living facilities charge a lot, but in no way is the cost substantiated by the services received. Food options were poor and contained very little nutrition, akin to middle school lunches. Mom barely ate while there. Trash was supposed to be collected every evening but often wasn't picked up for days. Staff was very nice, but turnover was incredibly high which made it hard on everyone.

My panic at putting Mother in assisted living stopped with a phone call to this service. Caring person directed me to and arranged communication to Evergreen. Seamless transition to the facility.

A Place for Mom has scored Evergreen-Dickinson 6.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
