She is very content there. It's a very nice place. we've eaten there one time and the food is excellent. And my mother has even said all the food is very good, and she does like to eat. The building has apartments section, a personal care section, and a nursing home section.

They did not have a memory care unit so that’s why we had to find another place for our parents. It was fine, they had their own little apartment, they were happy there, they just got to the point where it was too difficult for mom to do what she needed to do and watch to make sure dad didn't leave. They did have a lot of things there and they did participate but not as much as I hoped they would. They didn't want to move in in the first place, but they couldn't be at home so we encouraged them to move in to the independent apartment and they liked it there, it was a big downsize for them so that was really difficult.

A Place for Mom has scored Ephrata Manor 8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
