I read a bad review on here after my experience and was astonished. It doesn’t even sound like the same place I took my mom. This place has been totally remodeled by new ownership and is under new management from what I understand. (The sign in the picture on this site looks nothing like the current sign) I have had the best experience with Ennis Care Center. My mother needed rehab from her hip surgery. The staff are so caring and knowledgeable, they were very attentive and gave the best care I've experienced. She was very hesitant and can be difficult (stubborn) but the therapy staff could get her to do things I never could. It only took two weeks to get her back to where she was before her fall. I'd recommend this place to anyone who needs therapy.... Read more

My mother had advancing dementia and was in this nursing facility. Before I placed her at Ennis Care Center, I met with [name removed]. She spent as long as I needed on the tour answering all of my questions and set up a conversation with the treatment team. I found the staff to be very knowledgeable, caring and helpful. The food was good, the facility was nice and clean, and my mother's needs were taken care of. They also had these robotic cats that helped calm her down at night, and a huge touch screen tv in the memory unit that gave them an incredible amount of activities specialized just for their needs. I've never seen anything like how they invest in their residents. I highly recommend this nursing facility.

We originally placed my mom here for short-term rehab after a fracture, and the nursing and therapy staff did a wonderful job getting her strength up enough to come home. Unfortunately mom's conditions continued to become more and more difficult to manage at home, and we finally made the very difficult choice to move her into a long term care setting. We originally chose a brand new building that was closer to my brother, but the care was so horrible that we could not get mom out of there quick enough. We did our diligence and research the second time around, and finally settled on Ennis Care Center as the best option based on their quality ratings and reviews. We couldn't be happier with our decision. The staff and care are incredible, the Director of Nursing has been there over 20 years and is always available, and the Administrator is wonderful to work with. The Chef is also excellent, and we actually look forward to eating here with mom when we visit. They have the BEST recreational therapy staff and programs, and my mom LOVES when they bring in puppies from the animal shelter for them to bottle feed. They even have robotic pet therapy, with touch responsive cats and dogs! You can just feel how much everyone cares here when you walk in the door, and it's a night and day difference from other places we have experienced.

My mother in law was sent to this "care center" for physical therapy after spending quite some time in the hospital battling liver cancer. She was placed in a room that required she share a bathroom with another tenant. The showers were at the other end of the "facility". She was required to be on a no/ low sodium diet, yet the staff fed her bacon, eggs topped with cheese, and so many other items loaded with sodium, that she filled up with fluid and busted old, healed sutures. After we agreed on a no sodium diet with the staff, they arrived the next morning with the very same foods. After we showed nurses how to tend to her dressing needs, the nurses walked away and stated to someone else that they would just "Youtube" it to figure it out. The mattress on the bed was 1/4" thick. The place is completely lacking in care, fallin apart. After only 2 days in this place, my mother in law's health had regressed by an entire week or two. Would NOT recommend this "care facility".
