The Emerald Village community was very clean but in the apartment closet it smelled like cat urine at move in. Other than that, very good. There is a little miscommunication before move in but it was resolved. Generally very friendly. Breakfast is served three times a week is really only coffee and a few pastries. I think it should have real breakfast. For the activities there is bingo for her, it is fun and she likes movies, however they should add more. It is a good value for cost to live there. Apartments are nice for the price.... Read more

Our experience was unique because a few months after she moved in, there was a fire and she was evicted and displaced. So they fixed it and she just moved in again last month after not living there. I'll rate it based on the months she lived there. The breakfast is tea or coffee and maybe a pastry. It should be a meal as advertised this is breakfast.

Everything about Emerald Village has been all good. Depending on the age of the residents we would recommend and refer it to someone 70 and over. The Food offerings very small currently. Maybe Poker instead of bingo with restrictions.

They offer a lot of activities like bingo and a book club amongst others. They do a great job of cleaning a few times a week. They have a beautiful laundry room to do your laundry. It is a wonderful place. I would give it a 10+!! This is the best thing that can happen to you since your man or your children! It is a fabulous place for anyone that is retired and going into a senior living place...

This place is really nice and I love my apartment and I love living here. I am happy here and I have my little space. I have a deck and a balcony and I have few complaints. Living with a lot of seniors is sometimes interesting.

My mother is still adjusting to the changes and new environment. There are activities available that I hope she will try out. I recommend this community because the staff has been very helpful and accommodating.

They have made my folks feel very welcomed and happy with their decision in moving there. They feel right at home. Everyone has been very warm and friendly, it is just a nice place. One thing that my dad really likes is going down to the continental breakfast and mingling and getting to know the people in the morning.

Basic independent living facility, great prices. The units are a good size, nothing fancy. Not much in the way of additional services, but there are options for 2 dinners or so a week, if enough other residents sign up.

A Place for Mom has scored Emerald Village 7.7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
