A place where our Mother was very happy!

Can't say enough good about Elsie's Place. Wonderful owner & staff. Our mother was truly happy there. At the start, we brought her in with the hope of eliminating PRN meds for mood and pain that we thought were unnecessary. A trial proved us correct; the gentle care and calm environment kept her comfortable with very limited meds. And there is so much love in this home. Our mother was treated with the respect and compassion she deserved during her final months. What a joy to have found Elsie's. Hindsight, this should have been her care home from the start.... An awesome place for mom!

Part 1 I just want to give a shout-out to the best Memory care facility in Raleigh, ELSIE'S PLACE! The day mom arrived [name removed] (the owner) greeted mom with arms opened wide, a huge smile on her face, and said "you are finally home we have been waiting for you". Mom, who did not want to get out of the car when we pulled in the drive, just about jumped out and into [name removed] opened arms. Mom was loved and cared for just as if (or better) than if she was living with me. I had not seen mom smile so much in such a long time. [name removed] and her staff could see past the dementia and saw the person mom was. On top of dementia, mom had diabetes and had had colon cancer which made her incontinent. Never once did anyone complain about caring for her needs. She was always well-fed correctly and clean. (One of the nice things about a 2/6 staff/patient ratio.)

Great Care

We moved our mom four times. Most facilities promise a lot but just leave the residents neglected. This is the first experience we have had with personalized touch. We and are very satisfied with the personal care here. The owner goes out of her way to facilitate solutions and will do anything to help. The staff are gentle and caring and the food is real food. I wish we had brough our mom here to begin with.

I would recommend Elsie's Place!

This is a clean spacious care home. The caregivers are wonderful. The owner is amazing and she does everything she can to resolve any issues. They offer some activities. This care home felt more personal when we toured and this is one of the reasons we chose this home.
