Wonderful caring staff- My loved one loves all of the changes. The new staff are perfect and there is finally activity in the community.

Things started off well but, between multiple turn overs with staff you see the difference. There are some good care givers and some not so good. The care my parents could have received should have been much better for what we were paying. In fact I was overpaying and with multiple emails and pictures sent to the home office. Crickets, no response from VP's on money owed. We didn't push the issue because they finally put a good Administrator ([name removed] in place, and he hired a really good Director Nurse ([name removed]). You could see the positive changes on all floors, literally night & day. Unfortunately Elegance once again did something to screw this up because they're now both gone, and I don't know how much longer we'll allow our mom to remain. Lack of activities, no brief changes throughout the night, soiled laundry. It's like with/out the ED & Nurse in place everyone is running around like chickens with their heads cut off. They have temp people in place but, not sure how it'll be fixed.

Elegance is so much better now that the Executive Director and Nurse have come onboard. When my parents moved in communication was dismal at best. Once the Executive Director arrived things began to improve. In April the Nurse was hired and this changed everything. I can feel the changes when I walk in building. Residents seem happier and participating. Both the Nurse and Executive Director genuinely care about the residents. Loved parents only have positive things to say. My sister has noticed that they both work long hours and we as a family do not want them burned out. Our biggest fear is that they will be fired or quit. Great choices headquarters for some great employee choices. Please don't lose them!

My mother was one of the first residents of Elegance Berkeley when it opened, and I'm posting this review because I used to tell people how great it was. Unfortunately, there has been complete churn of personnel from the Executive Director to the staff level, replacing a team that was warm, welcoming and communicative with a team that does not communicate with families, engages in questionable billing practices, and does not resolve problems. The caregivers have been great, but most of them have now left. My mother was sometimes left in her room at meal times because there were not enough staff to bring her to the dining room, despite paying handsomely for that service. Advise new families to keep looking elsewhere if they want stable care for their loved ones and a responsive management.

Very attentive care for my loved one at Elegance Berkeley. My loved one initially really enjoyed assisted living. This facility is an attractive facility with friendly and committed administration. A setback for my loved one necessitated memory care and the staff facilitated a good transition. I would recommend this facility to others.

The staff is very caring, but there has been a lot of turnover in the 2 months since my dad moved in. Some improvements could be made in terms of making rooms more accessible for people in wheelchairs. I would recommend Elegance Berkley. It's a beautiful facility and has a nice peaceful atmosphere.

It's a new place and they are open to how things should be done and they are still learning what works for them. As they are not yet full, I expect things to get even better over time.
