When it comes to the friendliness of the staff 90% would get a -1 and 10% would get a 5. They lied and added [fee removed]. if they would get care. I ran 2x a day until I hired outside help. It was by far the worst experience I have ever had. I could write a book on how bad it was. When my dad choked on the dining room and taken by ambulance, they said I had to pay for the meals while he was in rehab all month. "He didn't give a 30-day notice that he was going to be gone! " Are you kidding me? You called the ambulance, you saw him leave. WTH. have heard that the director was let go. Good. She took the kitchen crew to a ballgame at the last minute. Instead of having pulled pork, they got cheer salad. My mom can't eat lettuce.

We toured with Eagle Point and it was very expensive and the tour guide that took us around was disappointing. That was the main reason we did not choose this facility.
The facility is lovely, and it's located in a beautiful location, but the care and communication were horrific.

The Eagle Point Senior Living community is gorgeous. Drop dead gorgeous. Their room is amazing. It's perfect, because they're on the water, again. The food is good, although my loved ones aren't fussy about food. The nursing staff is scheduled to change the bedding weekly in my loved one's room and they have completed this only twice in ten weeks. I approached a nurse and asked about changing the bedding on that evening, but after she closed the door - she reopened the door, while on the phone, and indicated that they would indeed change the bedding before 8pm that day. I explain to the staff that all they have to do is change the bedding, they do not have to wash it. I was hit. After putting down a deposit, we received authority to change the flooring, so we put in all new flooring that the community approved. After that was complete, we were doing a final evaluation, and they increased the monthly rate, due to medication management and a once a week shower for each parent. So I complete the medication management and the showers, because I don't want them to run out of money. The maintenance staff is amazing. Another staff member went up to visit on her own time. The move was so hard on them, so when they moved in, I went to the community and a staff member immediately told me that my loved ones were lost. They just moved in that day. This was a staff member that told me that they would have a mentor resident that would assist them with the floorplan, and meals, etc., upon move-in, but that didn't happen. My parents were confused on how to navigate the community, because if you want to participate in events or activities, you have to take specific elevators and it confuses them. I was told by the director that if they had to to use financing from a healthcare alternative, other than private, they would have to move out.

AT times they are short handed in the dining hall so there has been a few times where they have to call out for food that is already prepared to come and be served to the residents. The activities are good our loved one is really liking them so far. The nurses aids and everything regarding care has been great but we are having some issues and frustrations with the overall value and pricing with the rent

The location of Eagle Point is well suited to seniors who still have mobility to get around to grocery stores, being close to Lawrence University is well suited for cultural events.

The view from my aunts room is terrific, she has a view of the river. The staff are very responsive to family, the more involved you are the more involved they are. They have had difficulty with staffing like everyone else, but it is coming around. They just hired a new activities director so we are just starting to see a new ramp up of activities provided. She is really good at providing activities based on level of care. My aunt absolutely loves the food. We looked at 3 different places and we are very happy that we chose Eagle Court. I would recommend them as long as you are able to afford it.

We toured this community and it was very nice. The staff was very friendly and informative and they answered all of our questions. The price was higher than other communities in the area.
Relatively new facility with a fantastic location on the Fox River. However the care provided is less than stellar for the costs. Each year costs have increased, over 10% in 2021. Turnover very high with care staff & RN, therefore lack of consistency in care & training of staff. Assisted Living needs a lot of improvement in the care, found Plan of Care not followed after repeatedly bringing issues to Executive Director's attention. Good caregivers either leave quickly or are let go.

The care services were really good before COVID, however now it is a little hard to get information from them sometimes because they are having to follow the restrictions. Right now the meals are being delivered to the residences rooms.

A Place for Mom has scored Eagle Point Senior Living 5.3 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
