Dorothy Cares ALF, LLC.

My visit to Dorothy Cares was very pleasant. The facility was very clean and organized. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and spacious. The people staying there all seemed to be well taken care of and content. Dorothy is very kind and caring and makes you feel like you are a member of her family. See really cares and it shows.

My wife is suffering with Alzheimer’s disease and has been in eight different facilities in Pennsylvania and Florida. Dorthey Cares here in Florida is hands down the best place she has been. The staff to patient ratio is excellent at one to three. [name removed] clothes and body are kept clean and she receives weekly physical and occupational therapy, as well as frequent Doctor’s visits. I highly recommend this facility. They really do care.

Dorothy Cares is aptly named. [name removed]and her staff really do care and take very good care of my mother-in-law. And unlike many other ALF’s, Dorothy Cares does not have the telltale urine smell that larger ALF’s try to mask and the ratio of residents to staff cannot be beat. It is 3:1. The home is always clean and they cook fresh meals everyday. In addition my, MIL is clean, gets her correct medication, is regularly seen by the visiting physician, she has not fallen and gets the attention she needs. So glad we found this place.

Our experience with Dorothy Cares ALF has been incredible. From the moment we arrived, the facility’s welcoming, clean environment reassured us. What makes this place stand out is the outstanding care, especially from Dorothy. When another facility denied my mom’s stay, Dorothy went above and beyond to help. Her compassion and willingness to make things work during such a challenging time showed how deeply she cares for the residents and their families. The staff treats my mom with patience, respect, and kindness, always understanding her unique needs. They handle challenges with grace and create a family-like atmosphere. The facility is always immaculate, and the food is wonderful. They also offer special events that keep the residents active and happy. I’m truly grateful for Dorothy Cares and thank God for leading us here. It’s a huge relief knowing my mom is in such caring hands, and I couldn’t ask for better care.

Im currently on the waiting list and they are helping me in the time being. [name removed] is very kind and helpful she goes above to assist you as much as she can. Her Alf is very clean and staff is very friendly.

It is always stressful and sad to need to have a loved one placed at an assisted living facility. When the time came, the owner helped me through each step of the way; it was such a blessing! The staff is extremely caring and loving, they do care and help him with love, enthusiasm and respect. The place is immaculately clean. The residents are safe, clean and well fed and they exercise and do several activities throughout the day. It is indeed a blessing!

My mother, [name removed], became a resident in late December 2023 at Dorothy's Riverview location. Beings that we kids all worked, we needed a safe place for mom to be once she came out of the rehab. The Lord truly dropped Dorothy in our laps! From the very start, I knew we found the perfect place. Dorothy even went to the rehab and met my mom and her baby friends and they had a blast laughing and talking for a few hours! Yes, 2 hours! Being an RN herself and focusing mostly on elderly care, Dorothy helped us with all of the details for moms exit from the rehab to adjusting again to real life living. From paperwork to meds, patience of a Saint, insurance, rehab and activities, she has it set up! Her ALF is spotless, warm and inviting. It's home. All the ladies welcomed mom so kindly and really made a fuss over her to help her adjust. Dorothy's staff goes over and above. Especially her [name removed] that became my mom's [name removed]! They were darling together. And lastly....GREAT food!!!

My mother has been given exceptional care at this facility. The place is clean and the staff is caring. They make sure meals are prepared on time and the patients are fed timely. All residents appear to be content. I would highly recommend this facility.

Our 93 year old mother has been with Ms. Dorothy for about 5 months now after leaving a facility that was very sub-standard. The caregivers are extremely compassionate and provide mom with a clean, comfortable environment. Since she is completely unable to care for herself (mentally & physically) they bathe and feed her good meals daily. Ms. Dorothy provides my sisters and I updates every few days and sends us pictures too. We try and visit her daily but we are not worried when we can't make it there for a day or so. Wish we would have found her sooner! Residents there have games and activities they participate in and really seem to love the place too. I would recommend this place whole heartedly!!

I toured this community and I was very impressed!!!! It actually smelled nice, I saw staff cooking the residents meals and the staff keep the residents active. I was surprise to see some that were out for their daily walk.

Dorothy Cares Assisted Living Facility is a wonderful place with a caring staff that provides quality and compassionate care. Five stars in all categories. We are so blessed to have our mother at this facility.

Dorothy took care of my aunt a few years ago so I have visited one of her facilities and my family adored her! Now my dad needs a place for his care, except she is full and doesn't have an available bed for a male at this time. We are willing to wait till she has an opening, we believe her place is worth the wait.

I first found Dorothy when looking for an adult daycare. My first interaction with Dorothy was very honest yet warm., was late 2021 during COVID. Mom eventually moved in as a resident in June of 2022. Dorothy and her staff immediately made her feel at home and of course my trepidation of moving my mom away from home was eased. Dorothy and her staff were always eager to share updates of mom with the family along with pictures and videos. The resident was always spotless and cleaned without any storing disinfectant smells. It was really warm and inviting. It did not matter what day or time I visited, it was always the same. The care given to my mom was exceptional to say the least. I went out of the country Christmas of 2022, feeling confident and relaxed knowing mom would be safe and cared for. Dorothy and her staff extend their to the end. Dorothy, [name removed] and [name removed] took time to attend my mom's funeral. That was truly special to my family an I. Thanks Dorothy & staff.

I wish my gamily and I didn't have to relocate to another state or I would still be there - at my place I once called home. God bless all those homes, workers and residents.

I would like to recommend and say great job! The workers are very nice and appear helpful to all. Administrator very kind and knowledgeable. Daycare residents enjoy their time there and enjoy activities.

Super clean every day, always accommodating for your Loved Ones making them the Priority 24/7, what more appreciation can I provide for my 1rst and Only choice for Mum's happiness and well-being. Thank you Dorothy for making one of the most important decisions of one's life that much easier :)

We are glad to have found a Southshore area adult daycare for seniors

Our mom was getting confused and forgetful. We wanted to be sure that she was treated with dignity and in a cheerful manner. After disappointments with two other facilities, we struck gold with Dorothy Cares. The help is kind and thoughtful with great attention to detail. Having it run by a nurse was important too as my mom's meds were corrected with excellent results. It's difficult being 2,500 miles away. The staff would open emails for my mom and send me photos of her opening my cards and presents. When my local brother stopped in, it was always sparkling clean and fresh. The staff did special things for each guest, like my English mum's cup of tea. The owner hugged my mom and treated her like family. Cannot say enough nice things about Dorothy Cares. From experiences my friends have had, I know how rare it is to find such an inviting, safe, comfortable, and fun facility, much less one that is reasonably priced. Hope they are still around when I need senior care for myself.

Outstanding focus on detail of patient care and the associated issues of each individual. Always a warm and family-friendly environment. Help and helpful to and for all of the residents. Glad I found Dorothy Cares. My mom is well cared for and enjoying her time there. Thank you Dorothy Cares.

I can't say enough about the exceptional care my mom received with Dorothy and staff. As a dementia patient, my mom had been withdrawn and isolated. I needed help as a full time caregiver for years. Mom was provided diligent loving care and treated with dignity, kindness and respect. She truly received the best care possible as an adult daycare patient. She received daily meals/snacks that fit her dietary needs, supervision/assistance, medication management, physical exercise including guided walks outside with her peers. She thoroughly enjoyed socializing and participating in crafts, bingo, puzzles and other fun activities with fellow attendees. She loved spending time outside on the enclosed patio. I received regular progress reports/photos of my mom's days participating and having fun. I was made aware of any staff concerns immediately and solutions were offered to adjust for my mom's needs/interests. With Dorothy, you'll have the peace of mind and valuable care for your loved one.
