Dogwood is a good place. we've been very pleased. we especially appreciate a few people, [name removed], the attendant/aide - she is so sweet and good to my mother. she holds her accountable, but does it in a way that my mom is so complaint with her. she is so kind and caring and does things the right way. [name removed], the director - she is all over it and she is really good with folks. she runs a tight ship, but she is so compassionate and she makes sure things are done right. [name removed], the nurse, she's the same as the director. they are an incredibly good team, they do everything they can to make sure every single resident is taken care of and cared or. they make sure they tailor their care to each persons needs. we also really like that its small. my mom doesn't have a lot of stamina so its small enough to where she can get anywhere she needs to go without having to stop and rest. there's only about 21-22 residents total and we really like that. its not flashy, its very tasteful and it fits our family really well. all the residents know each other so its a good community.... Dogwood New Albany offers exceptional care to seniors and their families in New Albany, Mississippi, a family-friendly town with plenty of community activities and good schools. While the community is technically in town and close to shopping and medical facilities, Dogwood New Albany is on an expansive plot of forested land which has been landscaped to include gardens and plenty of walking trails.
This large group home is Southern charm at its best. Wide front porches with rocking chairs lead into the spacious and bright common areas. All the rooms have large double windows to let in plenty of natural light, and the stately dining room is one of the most popular places to relax over a cup of tea or catch up with friends at dinner.
Residents and their families can choose between single and double-occupancy rooms and are encouraged to bring their own furnishings and decor to make it feel like home. All rooms have their own climate control and security system. Every time we have been able to visited the community it has been clean, and the staff to patient ratio seems to be pretty even. Prior to COVID everything really did seem great. We would recommend this community to others
