If you are going to place your loved one in a long term facility, you have to be very careful and watch for certain [removed] these being what is going on every day, try to visit at a different hour each time, without letting the people at the facility you are going (make surprise visits). This way you will be aware of certain things, as amenities that are offered all the time and things that are never done. For the owner/director, this is basically just a business, without the empathy and dedication needed to care for our older loved ones. In my Fathers’ last and final moments, the owner/director was extremely rude, she lied, and there was no empathy shown at all towards my father and the immediate family.

I had my dad at DMC Everlasting HC II for almost two years. The first interview is a show where everything looks good and they promise a lot of things that the owners will not complete. But the sad part is when my father was near passing away, the owner ensured she made it even more difficult for my father and our family. Well they do not have a vocation to take care of the elderly; the elderly only signify a business. They did not give him his medication on time, they would not change the sheets, and if his medication had to be given at night they would not give it to him because they said the care givers had to sleep. It was hard for me to accept the hospice services because she wanted us to go where she knew the people and no one would supervise. The above translation was made using the following original text: TUVE A MI PAPA POR CASI DOS ANOS EN DMC EVERLASTING HC II, LA PRIMERA ENTREVISTA ES UN SHOW EN DONDE TODO SE VE MUY BIEN, Y TE PROMETEN MUCHAS COSAS QUE NO CUMPLEN LOS DUENOS. PERO LO TRISTE ES CUANDO MI PADRE ESTABA POR MORIR, LA DUENA SE ENCARGO DE HACERLE A MI PADRE Y A LA FAMILIA TODO MAS DIFICIL, PUES NO TIENEN VOCACION PARA CUIDAR A LOS ANCIANOS , LOS VIEJITOS SOLO SIGNIFICAN UN NEGOCIO. NO LE DABAN SU MEDICINA A TIEMPO, NO CAMBIABAN LAS SABANAS, SI LAS MEDICINAS ERAN EN LA NOCHE NO SE LA DABAN PORQUE DECIAN QUE LAS CUIDADORAS TENIAN QUE DORMIR, ME PUSO MUCHAS TRABAS PARA ACEPTAR LOS SERVICIOS DE HOSPICE, PUES ELLA QUERIA QUE FUERAN DONDE ELLA CONOCE GENTE Y NO LA SUPERVISAN.
