Digby Place

Staff at Digby were kind and helpful. Always pleasant They went above and beyond to care for our loved one. They brought her to activities and included her as much as they could. They spent time talking to her and explained everything they were doing. We were with her during her last days and the staff could not be more helpful and kind. We were grateful for all their care and support.

It's a fantastic living situation. My mother is beyond happy there. It's the perfect place for her! I thank you from the bottom of my heart for finding it for her last year when we were in crisis mode. Everyone at that facility is so kind and helpful.

So far our experience has been great. Staff have welcomed my mom and given her rhe time she needed to adjust. She is safe and well taken care of. We picked Digby because the size, not too big. Secure community.

I am very satisfied with Digby Place. Only place where you have to enter a passcode to gain entry-security is a high priority. Which equals safety.It's a small facility and the staff knows everyone and their frequent visiting families.

My family and loved one had a good experience at Digby Place. The community was welcoming and it truly felt like a big family as soon as we walked in. Everyone is friendly. There are activities and meals to help with the socialization of the residents. Overall, this is a community we would recommend to others for their loved ones.

We chose them because it is a smaller facility and the staff were really easy to talk to. Compared to the other facility she was in I feel that management is easier to speak to and I feel like the nurses really take the time to answer our questions. They do take individual care and really work with the residents, they don't just kick you out at the first sign of needing more care like some places do. I would recommend to others looking as long as it fits your needs.

A few years ago it became obvious to my family & I that my mother was no longer able to care for herself because she was in the early stages of Alzheimer’s. After much research with regards to full service private pay facilities in Lafayette, we chose Digby. My mother was NOT pleased when we informed her that she would have to leave her home of 25+ years. It took her a couple of weeks to adjust to her new environment, but the excellent staff at Digby Place made the transition easier. Prior to becoming a resident at Digby Place, she had little social interaction, did not eat well, & rarely did anything physical. She now has made new friends, enjoys the great food, & participates in daily group activities. Digby’s staff assists her as needed & kept me well informed of her status when visits were limited due to Covid. I'm very thankful for the team at Digby & their assistance in raising the level of her quality of life. She is doing so well now she might out live me!

This is a truly special senior living community. It is the perfect size without being too overwhelming to maneuver. It’s a great place to be able to maximize independence while knowing help is available and readily accessible if needed. The leadership and staff are approachable and readily available to assist with not only care but acclimating residents to a new environment in a way that makes it feel like home the minute you walk in the door.

Digby is a smaller community, but feels like home the minute you walk in. The residents can receive a wide range of care under one roof, and the response time when a call light is pulled is 5 minutes or less! If you're looking for assisted living for yourself or a loved one, I highly recommend Digby Place!

I have worked with Digby Place for 8 months. It’s a great place to work. We have a home like environment here that makes you feel welcome and comfortable. Glad to be a part of the team (family) here.

Everybody we crossed paths with and encountered were very friendly and we thought the care services were great. While our mother was there she really enjoyed the meals they served. We really liked the location and the smaller size of the community. We also thought the value was excellent.

We chose this Digby Place because it was a smaller community compare to to we saw and it was also close to family. The room sizes here are adequate. Our only complaint is the food, it is definitely is something they could use improvement on. They were institutional meals and not very flavorful. I would tell others that the administration was very easy to work with and very accommodating to our family. The CNAs were very loving and compassionate as well. I would recommend as long as the food is improved.

Digby Place is ok, the cost was all over the place. You start at one price and then almost double within six months. Due to the control of medications it almost doubled the cost for us. The staff and nurses were great. The food was ok, it didn't have much flavor according to my loved one. My loved one's room was good.

I picked Digby for my sister that has dementia at 71 and they had a better age mix of residents. with covid i was unable to tour the place in person, and still unable to visit my sister in her apartment. I have mixed feelings about staff, as some are very helpful and some are not so much. Given what covid has done to my experience placing my sister, I will wait till things open up to get a better feel of the place. I did hire a home health care person to go in twice a week (she can, I can't?) to spend one on one time with my sister and feel that has helped my sister settle in somewhat.

I liked the rooms and the information provided by [name removed]. It's a place I will surely consider if I decide I want to stay in Lafayette.

I have lived here over 7 years. I have made lots of friends and there is always plenty to do for games/activities. The nurses help when I don't feel good, and I am always well taken care of.

Things are very active at Digby for my sister. Sometimes too active, so keeping a closer eye on the weather to make sure conditions are safe would be better. The apartment is well kept and clean. She is happy there and that is very reassuring for her family. The food is good too thanks to a solid team in the kitchen.

Our loved one has completely come out of her shell since moving into Digby. Here, she is treated like family. It is amazing the difference being at Digby has made in her. When she was at another facility, she was shutting down and spending all her time alone. She does wish they would have biscuits and gravy more often, ha ha! She is more relaxed at Digby than we have seen her in a long time.

It was my lifesaver! I was to the point I couldn't take care of myself or my mother. I had just finished rehab therapy and my 2 kids had been looking for a place for us to go. My son [name removed] met [name removed] and looked around Digby, and assured me there was nothing to feel guilty about since I couldn't take care of us anymore. The day I got out of rehab, I moved in here and I've loved every day since! I've made friends that I don't know what I would do without. Mom was at my house for so long that we never went anywhere, I never went anywhere for fear of leaving her home alone. I know that she is taken care of here at Digby and I can have a life again. The activities keep me very busy and they are great. I don't ever feel like I'm just a number.
