We chose Harrison House because it was the first one I looked at. I needed to get him into someplace quickly and they had availability. The room sizes at the facility are plenty of space for what he needs. They have a lot of activities but dad does not participate in them all. They are very engaged with the residents and the doctor comes in once a week to see him and they take good care of him. The staff are also great with communication to the family members. They made the transition from his old facility smooth and they have been so accommodating. I would recommend to others looking.... Read more

Since Harrison House was bought by Rosestone The financial management has been terrible. They failed to credit payments and were sending us bills for thousands of dollars. After threatening to sue them, I finally got a meeting with a man from corporate. He showed up without even am account statement. Luckily, we had good documentation. He acted like he had no understanding and blamed software! Eventually we came to an agreement. That lasted exactly one month and the account is wrong again. They failed to credit last months payment and our statement reflects the wrong amount. The carpet is old and smells like urine in spite of the staff's efforts to keep it clean. I love the staff, but the director seems in way over here abilities. I would not place my mother here again and would move her now, but she is 91, has dementia, and I'm afraid it would worsen her. All that said, the staff is loving, caring, and very good especially her hospice aide and the medication aide.
