Consuelo's Assisted Living Facility

The place is great and the people are very attentive. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families.

Meals were home cooked but different from he was used to, with few hand held foods, so he had to be fed most of the time. The only activity was having the TV on & magazines on the table they can look at, which was fine for those who aren't able to do activities. I was disappointed the staff didn't speak English but the owner was very helpful translating. It was a wonderful home atmosphere where they really cared about [name removed] & our family. We were thankful you found Consueloâ's for us.

I’ve had the experience of having a loved in at this ALF and it is a wonderful place. This was my fathers third home since he became ill and by far the best home. I know how challenging it can be when choosing to place a loved one in a facility and part of you is always going to wonder if you made the right decision; I can assure you this will be the right decision. The caregivers truly give it their all and the owner [name removed] has so much love to give. Every meal is eaten at the kitchen table family style and they try to make the residents feel as loved and special as they can. Thank you for all that you were able to provide my dad with during the last few years. We are forever grateful

The owners and caregivers are fantastic, always working, the facility is super clean and organized. They all feel like a big family, my father loves been there he doesn’t miss the place he was before at all. He is always clean, and it feels good to smell the homemade meals every time I visit him. I’m very happy with Consuelos ALF, I recommend this place 100% and if you are looking for a community for your elderly family member try to find a home environment community like Consuelos, your family member is going to be well care for. My father lived at Consuelo’s for 5 years before passing, and we loved the way he was care for, staff was always friendly and responsive. He always told us that he felt really good and happy with the care and promptly attention he did get. He was always clean and well care for, the owners are a young couple who are always working hard, one of the owners is a Registered Nurse. We had our father in three different locations before finding Consuelos ALF, and he was never as happy as he was at Consuelos! Thank you so much for the loving care towards our father and all other families you care for!

Every single staff member at Consuelo’s ALF is professional, caring, loving and attentive to my mothers needs. The owners are extremely selective in the vetting of their staff and willingly go above and beyond the call of duty. We have been extremely blessed to have our dear mother in the hands of such loving and capable healthcare workers. I cannot recommend Consuelo’s ALF highly enough. After the nightmare of our previous experience at Wickshire, we are so relieved and rest assured to have Mom at Consuelo’s for the last two years. Deepest gratitude to all of them

The caregivers are so nice and accommodating. Doctors and nurses are within the staff. Very clean each time I come and there is never a smell like most places that have memory care. Good advice and options to handle the affairs of loved ones, own seek the best care for residents.

[name removed] the nurse owner cares for her people like they are family. Although some of the staff did not speak English they somehow communicated with my mom and took very good care of her. It was like being in a home not a facility. It always smelled like yummy food when you walked in and it felt very welcoming. I would recommend to others who want their loved one in a home like environment. My mom had Alzheimer's and wasn't interested in activities large facilities offer.[name removed]is a strong godly woman that I fully trusted to care for my mom.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful and caring the staff at Consuelos is. Finding a place for a parent or loved one is such a stressful experience but [name removed] and her staff made this transition as pleasant as possible. My dad is so well cared for. He is always clean and groomed. The entire facility is immaculate. They even cook delicious home cooked meals, no institutional type meals here. We are always greeted warmly when we visit and the environment and staff are friendly and cheerful. I couldn’t ask for a better place for my dad. So thankful that we found this place.

Our parents never wanted to go to a facility but unfortunate events happened and we did not have any good options until we found Consuelo's. Our mother was there about 2 years while our father there for only a few months. It was wonderful to have them in a small home with personalized care. Consuelo took great care of our parents and would absolutely recommend. I only hope if i'm in this situation one day that I can find something like Consuelo's. The owner was so kind and show great passion for her care of her clients and their families.

My mother has been in 3 different assisted living facilities in the past 5 years. Consuelo's is far and away the best! The owners, [name removed] and [name removed], were incredibly helpful from the first time our family met them. They went above and beyond to get our mother moved and settled. [name removed] is also a registered nurse and interfaces with the doctors and makes helpful recommendations to aid us in understanding and navigating any medical challenges that arise. She keeps us informed on a regular basis as to how our mother is doing and sends pictures every now and then. And her staff is absolutely fabulous. They are so loving and kind to our mother and take very good care of her. My mother is always clean, neat and well fed. Although the staff doesn't speak much English, it doesn't matter because it is evident that my mother feels loved and cared for and is content. What more could we want? Definitely check out Consuelo's if you are looking for an assisted living facility.

She seems to be doing very well here, since I live far away she sends me pictures. From what I have heard, I would recommend Consuelo's Assisted Living Facility to others.

They were wonderful and I am so grateful that my mother was able to live there. We are so very grateful to have found this place after being in three other facilities that were a nightmare. The Consuelo's house was full of warmth kindness and love and was just like being back in her own home.

We chose Consuelo's assisted living facility because when I walked in it was like walking into a home. The people all seemed very happy, they were smiling. The staff were cooking some really delicious smelling food. [name removed] the nurse/owner is lovely and she is a very caring person, she is truly concerned about the residents and their well being. She is also there a lot and really gets to know them on a personal level. She had gotten my mother to do stuff that I could never get her to do. I would for sure recommend them to other families, especially if you are looking for a home-like atmosphere. I wish my mother could have been here longer, it was a wonderful place and gave me peace of mind.

My mother wasn’t doing well when I found Consuelo’s ALF, she wasn’t eating much, she wasn’t sleeping well, she was very depressed, and after one week I could see the difference, she was happy awake and clean. I felt so bad for waiting so long to move my mother from the other community where she was very unhappy. I have a great communication with Masiel the owner she is always calling me with updates, when I’m traveling for work Masiel is always available for me to see my mother on video. I love the way they care for my mother! Great people! Great Community! Thank you so Much Massiel and your caring staff for taking care of my mother the way you do!

She takes more residents than she is licensed to have. She is only allowed 6 and my loved one was number 7. The staff members do not speak any English at all. If your loved one requires 2 person assist, they will tell you they can accommodate that, but they cannot. One caregiver worked 48 straight hours alone day and night and did all of the cooking, cleaning, and care. There are 2 bathrooms for the residents to use, one was out of order for over 2 weeks. My loved ones teeth were not brushed for 3 weeks. My loved one was in a wheel chair that would not fit through the doorway without being shoved through the door, therefore I could not get her out of the room and if there was a fire she could not get out. They put her to bed at 6PM and she did not have a TV or anything to do or anyone to check on her until she went to bed. I was told she would get 3 showers a week and she did not. We were there everyday, so we saw all of this happen first hand. We picked her up to take her to an evaluation at a new facility, she ate breakfast and we put her in the car, when we reached the new facility she was non responsive and they called the paramedics. The ER staff said it was mostly likely due to being given too much medication. I packed her things up that night and the administrator gave me a refund because she did not want any trouble. We were told she had security cameras to monitor her staff, I was there one night and police were asking if they had surveillance because something was going on in the neighborhood, they told the police that those were not working. There were a lot of promises that were not carried through with. It was a very bad experience for our family and we would not recommend them to others who are looking.

Our father passed away at this facility from natural causes, but during his stay everyone there was just fantastic. During the pandemic when we had to bring supplies over, they would go over to his villa, and get him set up in the front door so we could speak to him from outside. They would set up skype calls and take videos of our loved one. The staff members were very caring and wonderful, it was a great experience and they had great communication. It is a Spanish speaking community, but they have workers who speak very well English.

My mother has been a resident for a year now, and we are so lucky to have found [name removed], the owner, and her staff. From the day we met I knew my mom would be safe. What I didn't know is that she would be loved. These people are professional and compassionate and provide exceptional care. They really know my mom and communicate any issues quickly. They also send photos which has been great during this Covid-19 battle. They are keeping the residents and staff safe and healthy during this pandemic. We are so lucky to have found Consuelo's ALF. I highly recommend this facility!

Consuelo’s ALF has been home to my dad for the past year and a half. Before coming to Consuelo’s, Dad lived in a “corporate” owned facility where he was not able to receive the care and support he needed. Dad has dementia and it was important for us to find a place where he would be comfortable and safe. So be began searching and found Consuelo’s was that place. It is small, has attentive staff 24 hours a day, very involved owners, friendly residents, a home feeling, a nurse on hand (owner), spotless facility, and caring. Dad has personalized care, is safe 24 hours a day, medical personal are readily available for in home care, and we know he is getting the care he needs. We as a family appreciate the love and care shown to Dad at Consuelo’s ALF. I would highly recommend Consuelo’s ALF to any family looking for quality care and support for their loved one.
