I'm most impressed with the caring staff and would recommend

All staff incredibly caring. Facility is clean and bright and odorless. Courtyard is a unique feature allowing residents safe access to the outside to get fresh air and sun and enjoy nature. Residents allowed to keep small pets. They add so much to the residents quality of life. I think like every facility they could use more staff but that was more a hardship for staff than for residents. The facility has its own hair salon. Getting their hair done regularly makes such a difference in the residents self esteem and mood. On site podiatry service monthly. Fills a huge need. On site Covid and flu vaccines. Transportation to medical appointments. Church services. Facility cost is relatively high but you get all these things for that price... Read more

Our experience

My loved one was here for a short period of time. He personally did not like it at all, but I thought it was a nice place. The food was his biggest negative. The staff members there were all great!

Overall recommend

Overall rating, cleanliness, friendliness of staff and qualify of care are all great. Meals have been delivered to her room which is great. But she is very difficult to satisfy and she would not be a valuable, fair responder about the meals/dining. She does not participate in any activities but has been having hair appointments. As far as cost, the value fits the market competition.

A place where niceness lives

Dad was here after an injury. They were great about communication and took great care of him. The food, however, wasn't great. Portions were small and It seemed like budget restraints were causing them to use a lot of canned and processed food. Dad didn't like it, but he's also very picky so that's part of it. They had a great variety of activities. The Executive Director is fantastic. They appeared to be short staffed and it never really effected us directly, but it seemed like the staff was working extra hard with minimal extra help. They really did a great job here. Everyone was very happy and friendly. I would recommend them to friends and family.

I would recommend

Areas that we like - we do feel the staff communication very well which is very important, we find them to be very responsive and helpful. We think the quality of the staff is very high. We think the actual facility and the layout is nice and the inner courtyard design is very unique which we appreciate, the residents can go sit there and enjoy their time. The units themselves are well designed. Areas of improvement - we do understand they cannot afford high-quality chefs, but for those who are vegetarian there are not many options so at times our loved one is eating less the adequate meals. We wish they could put in a little more effort for those who have certain restriction's.

Community Tour

We had a good tour at Wren Place. I though it was great. It just wasn't the right fit - even though they said they could handle aspects of dementia, they didn’t have a separate memory care unit, which is what I was looking for knowing my loved one would need it down the road.

A beautiful facility

I would say that if your family member has needs that do not require extra level of care, be sure that you check in on them yourself. We chose this community because my mother liked the looks of the place. It was clean, comfortable, and offered lots of activity but mostly she liked in because it didn't appear to look like an old nursing home. She loved the food and said it was very good.

Great place to be!

They jump through absolute hoops for my grandmother, I’m afraid she’s more spoiled now than she was before. They bring her delicious food, and for her to have no complaints about the food is spectacular! They have plenty of activities for her, also, her in room cable has the home shopping channels that she loves so much. She’s got everything she needs there, including nurses to help her get around seeing as she can’t walk. It’s more affordable than a nursing home (it is on a case by case basis though, my grandmothers disability means it costs more than the average mobile resident) it’s also much cleaner than a nursing home, and it doesnt have a nursing home feel! It’s not home, but it’s the next best thing.

Wren Place looks like a wonderful place to reside. The facility is nice, very clean and when we were there it looked like they were continuing to improve with new furniture etc. The staff were super friendly and kind and the residents seemed very happy. The only reason that we did not choose this facility was the price.

I'm glad that we have a new director. Our nurse is fabulous. I like that when I go into [name removed]'s office, she listens to what I say. I like that they take me in the van to my appointments. I like the new furniture that we have already gotten and I love the new bathroom decor. I love living here. A Place for Mom has scored Cleburne Court 8.2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
