Chelsea Place Assisted Living Facility

Our Dad had a great time for the 3 years while under their care, they all took the extra time to make our father very comfortable and from what I seen with the guest that were there we’re well cared for from all the times I was there as well as my wife and brother were there quite often and never had any complaints. I have had several family members in homes around that I went to and they are mostly all just doing the expected. Where Chelsea place was more like home and where I would love to be when my time comes

When you give your heart, body, & soul to a business, you work all of your shifts and come in when no body else can, never missed a day of work, then when a new employee is hired, they change YOUR set schedule to accommodate the new employee & they aren’t even willing to work with you about your new schedule that they only gave you 1 days notice on. Then they tell you that if you won’t work that schedule, you’re no longer needed there. This is why no one stays at this facility very long! In my experience, the don’t appreciate their employees. They tell you one thing to your face, then treat you differently.

My mother began her experience with Chelsea Place Adult Daycare, so it was a natural transition to Chelsea Place Assisted Living. She knew all of the residents and caretakers, which made the transition easier. I have also met all of the caretakers at CPALF; they love the residents like they are family, and they provide great care for them. They allowed my mother to bring her small dog to live with her, which was also a bonus. My main shout out is for [name removed], who identified some mental issues with Mom and got her into a bigger and brighter room. Between the new room, Mom's dog, and CP Adult Daycare, Mom is doing better than we could have hoped! Thank you to [name removed] and all of the Chelsea Place Staff for what you do!

They are super awesome, friendly, courteous and compassionate.

Chelsea place is the most charming beautiful facility I have ever seen! It has a Beachy key west vibe and the staff cares for the residents with the most caring approach and treats each resident like family. I would absolutely place my own family here. Chelsea place is amazing!

I am a nurse and I have visited many facilities. I must say that Chelsea Place is my absolute favorite facility. The staff are very professional and cater to your needs. The even ask you if you would like water as soon as you walk in the door. Bed and breakfast with all the perks of an ALF!

The personal care and outpouring of love my mother receives at Chelsea Place is beyond measure. Everyone treats her as if she was a member of their own family. [Name removed] and his employees take extra steps to give their residents the attention and care they deserve. My mother feels at home there and for that I will be forever grateful. I only hope you’re still around when I’m in need of a home away from home.

My husband has been there a little over a month and in that short time frame I have nothing negative to say about Chelsea place. The staff is always happy and very caring. They go out of the way to make sure my husband is happy even [name removed] the maintenance man is Great! He hung curtains for me and Made sure they were the way I wanted. [Name removed] made sure all his pictures and furniture where just in the right place for [name removed]'s safety and comfort. He even had [name removed] make the bathroom room doorway bigger to accommodate [name removed]'s wheelchair. The house is always neat and clean, the bedding is always clean and the bathroom spotless. [Name removed] likes his shower every day and the staff is always ready to help him. Whenever I walk into Chelsea Place the first and only thing you smell is some very wonderful aroma coming from the kitchen. You cannot say that about a lot of other ALF in this county and believe me I have looked at many. I feel very comfortable with the caring staff. Therefore I can rest easy at night knowing they are taking wonderful care of [name removed]. Chelsea house is great !

Over the last 27 years I have performed at countless Nursing Homes, ALF's, Etc. in Southwest FL. This gives me quite a different perspective on the facilities that care for our elderly population. Some are very nice and some are really the pits!! Chelsea place is OUTSTANDING!! From the Adult Day Care to their Assisted Living, the facilities are OUTSTANDING and the staff is OUTSTANDING. As I said before, I have a unique perspective because I witness how the staff treats their patients and the conditions of facilities. The staff at Chelsea goes above and beyond when it comes to caring for residents. Residents of the ALF and guests at the Day Care are treated like family with such love and devotion!! This facility is always well staffed and the staff treat the residents as if they are family. Absolutely wonderful!

In all of our travels we looked at many many ALF's. This is the best with the best care of all of them. The residents are well cared for. This facility has a higher staff to residents ratio than all of them.

This is [Removed],[Removed] son in law. After spending a little time with [Removed] I wanted to tell you how impressed I was with your entire operation. I got a close up view of [Removed] excellent care but also observed the level of genuine care, respect and consideration each person receives and it is exceptional. I was able to watch how each guest was taken care of in many different situations and encounters. I don’t know you very well but I can tell who you are in the weight of this responsibility you have taken on. Your humanity is reflected by your people and how they conduct themselves. It starts at the top with you and Chelsea. I can’t tell you how thankful we are to have you caring for these people in this most important and challenging point of life. You are unique. It was hard to move dad from his home to an assisted living facility, but moving him to Chelsea has been the best thing for his mental, emotional, and physical health and well-being. Even from the beginning, he was smiling, laughing and conversing more than he had in a while. He is much more active and stimulated than he was at home, with daily activities that get him thinking, laughing and moving. The staff knows each resident well, and they’re sensitive to different personalities and preferences, and physical and mental capabilities. The facility is always clean and bright and Dad loves the food! It is always fresh and home-cooked, with plenty of variety. At Chelsea Place, family members are always welcomed, and communication with family is great. True to their values – positive, attentive and genuinely compassionate. Everyone goes out of their way to treat residents as they would treat their own grandmother or grandfather. I never worry about dad – I know that at every minute, he is safe, happy, well cared for and cared about.

Upon her husband's passing in September, 2016, Aunt [name removed], her relatives, and her dedicated caregivers all knew that a major move would become necessary for [name removed]. She and Ray were married and lived independently together for 72 years and this move would not come easily for [name removed]. Years ago we began looking around our area in south Sarasota County for possible places for the two to reside to better meet the needs of an elderly couple. But it was not until [name removed] passing that this became an urgent matter. On a whim, we continued our quest into Charlotte County and in the process found information on Chelsea Place. We decided to take an unannounced look at it and what we found upon pulling into the parking lot was a darling B&B-looking structure, happy music, laughter, and chatter filling the air, as well as the wonderful aroma of food being prepared. We went in, were welcomed, given a tour, and from that point on we believed we had found [name removed] new home. We made an appointment to take [name removed] there for a tour and lunch the next day and the rest is history. She was immediately greeted by owner [name removed], the staff, and residents as we enjoyed our tasty lunch, and by the time the initial paperwork was completed, [name removed] had found "her room" and was mentally planning where her things would go. That was late May 2017, and she continues to love and thrive at Chelsea Place. [name removed] is frequently found mingling with the residents, and the very efficient staff is plentiful and constant. We could not be more grateful and relieved that Chelsea Place has so perfectly provided what was needed for [name removed] happiness, safety, and well-being as she gets on with the rest of her life!

Everyone went out of their way to make my mother in law feel welcome. Beginning with introducing themselves to her at the rehabilitation facility she was in before moving to Chelsea Place. The owner ([removed]) , administrator ([removed]) and RN ([removed]) all made a point of meeting and getting to know my mother in law before the life changing move. The facility is truly modeled after "Retirement Resort Living" with a tasteful Key West theme. It is clean and well maintained. The intimate 12 resident size makes for a family atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The activities looked fun and the meals well prepared. We enjoyed a private Easter Dinner in my mother in laws room. We do not live near by and feel totally comfortable knowing she is lucky enough to be cared for by the lovely staff at Chelsea Place.

My mother June Bowling has been a resident of Chelsea Place since January 2015. I love it when my mother and I are pulling into the driveway of Chelsea Place, after being out for a car ride. I say "I wonder where we are at" and my mom with a big smile says "we are at my home." That says it all to me. Home to me is a loving and safe environment. That is Chelsea Place!

This is an A -1 Top Notch Place to be!!! Great staff and Care Givers! The owners are an every day part of what goes on here! Everyone makes this a FAMILY Feel place to be! I am a Massage Therapist who sees one of the residents on a regular basis and I am even made to feel like part of the Family! Such wonderful people live here and the people who work here are very caring, fun loving people who are not only great at what they do .... You can tell they Love what they do! Congratulations to all on having The Perfect Place for those in need to have a New Home away from home <3
