My 85yr old grandfather always talks about how great the staff is at the Château. He loves it there. Everytime I visit, he is always so happy. His room is always so clean and lovely. The other residents show how well everyone is treated there.

I can't wait to move out. If you hate your loved one put them in here. My floor is carpet it is filthy. Most nursing homes have a hard surface for easy cleaning up, not there . The cooks are good but the staff is mean mean mean.

A few months ago I wrote sweet praise of The Chateau concerning my 90 year old mother with PK. Mom has been there for 4 months and we are looking for a place for her to move. The Chateau management is terrible. There is little communication between management and staff. There is constant staff turnover- an indication of real problems with any business. Mom has gone 9 days w/o even getting a shower. She has been forced to sleep on dirty linen (she is incontinent). I could go on but best stop there. If you care about your loved one go elsewhere.

My 90 year old mom was diagnosed with Parkinson's. I recently moved her from New Mexico to the Chateau. What can I say! The staff at Chateau from management through room aids and kitchen personnel is kind, personable, caring but, at the same time, professional and knowledgable. Chateau is a small facility with around 30 resident capability and really does feel like home. In spite of being small it has all the niceties: hairdresser, library, gardens, a spa, daily activities, cozy community living room with fireplace, to name just a few. Mom's room is quiet and has windows that open into an inner garden. Mom's friend [name removed]- my 90 pound Airedale - was welcomed by everyone at Chateau and can hang out with mom in her room or outside in a garden. The average age of residents is, I believe, 85 and there is a spirit of camaraderie between residents - the support from others towards mom is obvious and heart-warming. I highly recommend Chateau At Rifle. ~name removed~

Came to visit my grandma the other night and the people who were working were really nice. My grandmas room was super clean. We got to spend time with her and I love that we weren’t interrupted other than her medicine. The place is really nice and clean. And it smells like a home. Not like you would expect. I expected it to be like an old folks home even though it’s not. The whole experience was very nice!!! Visiting there was pleasant and I look forward to my next visit in a few months!

One of the worst places to put your loved ones, the New Administrator and the owner treat the staff like crap, (I witnessed it) residents have very little to none activity’s going on because there always short staff. Some of the staff are good, but then there some that are bad. All the qmap day and night are amazing every time I come in, all of them assisted when needed.

I was here to visit my family member. I was parked in my car sitting in their parking-lot finishing a conversation on the phone. At this point I was approached by the lady who informed me she was the administrator. She asked was I was there. I told her and she then proceeded to tell me that I needed to leave. I said okay, told her god bless, and left the property. I parked down the road a little ways. Yes fully intending to go back and see my family member. She called the police on me, told the officers that I was "extremely aggressive, acting violent towards her, calling her all sorts of name including words I have never used before. According to the police she was trying to get me arrested for assault and harassment. All this for going and trying to see my family. Shame [name removed]. This isn't how you treat your "client's families".

My mom is here in this smaller community it holds 26 residents. This is supposed to be assisted living but it seems like there are all these rules and regulations that prevents that. I'm very disappointed in what I was promised and what actually is happening. It takes 2 days for them to receive any medication which I think is ridiculous. I was told there was transportation available before we moved her in I was told last week that they can't do that anymore due to being understaffed. I was also told there was an advocate here to help my mother apply for medicaid and there's not. Now it is a nice community don't get me wrong I just was promised a lot and now they are backing off all those things. The staff is nice some could use some more training. The director runs the kitchen and does all the food shopping and cooking which I think she should hire a chef. Mom says the food is good but bland. They try to keep them busy with daily activities. Every two weeks they will get a van and take them on an outing.
