I agree about the numerous trip hazards, and other not very good systems like the night lighting outside. Take your time when visiting a senior apartment - there are a lot of factors other than pretty grounds (yes, they are) but there are also gossips and out-of-control managers who are pretty reckless here. AND THE RENTS ARE NOT CHEAP, AND INCREASE EVERY YEAR. The new 'risk' is that you could live here 5 years and never be late with rent, have no problems with neighbors, the police or anyone, and one day they refuse to renew your lease. Pretty strange. So take your time and do research for a place you may spend the rest of your life in. You're Important, and you should be treated with respect by the staff who work for you.

I advocate for a elderly woman who is in a wheelchair. She was injured on a poorly maintained walkway when she tumbled out. The walkway has been replaced but they refuse to provide her an accident report since April/May. As yet the accident has not been reported to their insurance company. Now the bills are piling up and the doctor's would like to be paid. She has an air conditioner that will not cool below 90 degrees. Also a refrigerator that will not cool.

My experience thus far has been fine - Manager is very friendly and accommodating. I enjoy living on the third floor - the vaulted ceiling is a plus; the one bedroom apartment is roomy . Friendly neighbors and enjoyable get-togethers in the common area.

This was a nice looking place. The apartments were a nice size, and the community had a good variety of on-site activities as well as things to do at a nearby senior center. It was also located in a convenient area of town. Unfortunately at the time I looked they did not have any units available, and it was a bit more expensive than I was looking for.

Overall I think they do a good job here. The building is kept clean, and they also do a good job maintaining the outside of the building. The residents are all pretty friendly as well. They've also got underground parking, which is nice! (but I wish they'd let you wash your car in the parking lot!)

I'm very happy with how things are working out at Chapel Valley! I'd never lived in senior housing before, so it was a bit of an adjustment for me, but I am really enjoying it. The apartment is beautiful, it is in a nice area, the people here are friendly, and the building staff are all very helpful. I like that every floor has its own laundry facility, and I appreciate that they will do garbage pick up from your door two days a week if you leave it out.

Very nice place, but my mom wasn't independent enough to live here. She isn't driving and they don't offer transportation. It would be better for someone looking for an active 55+ community without services.
