I literally can not put into words how much we loved Cedarhurst for our Mom !! From the moment we walked through the doors to tour the facility.. We knew this was the perfect place to make our mom her final place to call home ! They went a above and beyond our expectations through her time there ! They truly cared for her and her best interest ! They served great meals.. the facility was spotless clean.. they took care of her laundry as well ! One of the big things we loved was the employees treated her like their granny too.. they would braid her hair and hold her hand when talking to her and mom never felt alone ! I highly recommend Cedarhurst on all levels!... Read more

Response from Cedarhurst of Lebanon
November 8, 2024Thank you so much for sharing such a heartfelt recommendation. We’re truly honored that you entrusted us with your mother’s care and that Cedarhurst felt like a true home for her. Our team strives to go above and beyond, and it’s incredibly meaningful to hear that their kindness and personal touches, like braiding her hair and holding her hand, helped her feel loved and supported. We’re grateful for your words and the chance to be a part of her journey. Thank you for recommending us so warmly!
My mom is a resident of Cedarhurst, Lebanon. She was in the Independent Living section until recently whe she had a bad fall there. After the fall she was in a wheelchair full time and needed more assistance. Before she was moved to Memory Care - staff in Independent Living recognized mom was having difficulty cutting food, like large chunks of roast beef. Staff recognized that could be attributed to her new diagnosis of early dementia and cut for her safety. They said it took just a minute. The fall not only put her in a wheelchair full time, but also weakened her left hand She can barely hold a knife. Today I was very concerned as she coughed and choked on her chicken strip salad. So I asked what happened to precutting? A nurse said there is nothing written in moms record, so they couldn't do it. Knowing it was "easily" done before - I felt the staff person was rude and uncaring about an obvious health hazard. Is this the "extra help" promised in memory care

Response from Cedarhurst of Lebanon
August 12, 2024Thank you for sharing your concerns. We're sorry to hear about your recent experience and appreciate your feedback. Please know that we take the well-being of our residents very seriously and are committed to providing the best care possible.
When it comes to the care services, we wish our loved one would be visited more for the price we are paying. Our loved one needs to walk more as well. The biggest thing that my dad has spoke about is when my mom is visited that there is no record of when like PT and OT come in...he gets a "bill of charge"...no notes of what they did with mom on their visits.

We cannot comment on the activities because we did not participate in them although they were offered to the residents. We have been so impressed with the community overall....we would even pick this community to live here ourselves when the time comes!! We have also recommend Cedarhurst of Lebanon to other people we know!

What sticks out most about Cedarhust of Lebanon was the staff, they were always willing to help on anything we asked. There were compassionate at the end. The main reason we chose this facility over others was because we got a private room where you could bring your own things, it was a smaller facility and it felt homier.

My aunt moved into assisted living and is now in memory care. Both experiences have been very good. The staff is very helpful and friendly. She is well cared for, and if she chooses to participate, there are lots of different kinds of activities. They also do a very good job of keeping me informed of any issues.

Employees need more training, need more night shift employees. We feel we made the right decision moving here.

This community is just wonderful, the staff members are just outstanding and we mean the entire staff from top to bottom. We have not met anyone who wasn't willing to help out, everyone is extremely friendly. The memory care does integrate with the assisted living. The building is newer - only a few years old so everything on the inside is very nice. They have plenty of activities, they go on trips and bring in live entertainment.
