The staff has done a great job caring for my husband. However, over a 2 year period, the rent increased approximately 30%. I do not believe this is all attributed to inflation as the letter from management stated. Recently, my husband’s level of care changed and as a result, the price immediately increased $[removed]. Corporate cannot provide an explanation for the increase in cost. I do not understand how Corporate can expect families on a fixed income to pay these bills. It is difficult enough for families having their loved ones in Assisted Living, they should not have to worry about how to pay for specific levels of care. Shame on Cedarhurst for not showing more compassion when it comes to the financial end of the caregiving process.... Read more

The experience started out good but as time went on and more care was needed, Cedarhurst made promises for increased care but never followed through on those promises. When we moved in, there were 2 RA’s on staff. Now they are down to only one. This isn’t enough for the amount of residents. Many times my loved one would sleep in and they would but the residents breakfast on the counter and it would be there for 2 hours and then when the resident got up they gave it to the resident cold. Very disappointing. They work fine with residents that are completely independent but they do not have the skills or training to work with residents with personal hygiene issues or cognitive issues.

Point system cost went from $250 to $600 per month. Nothing changed for the services. This was a 140% increase. No one could answer why this increase (just the wayt it is, "I was told.) No a rent increase of 15%. Outrageous! You are sucking the elderly dry. So sad. Social Security did not increase 15%!

This has been a rewarding experience for both of us. My husband has had therapy and so have I. The employees here are first class. I consider them my friends.

We love it here. Couldn't ask for anything better. The administer is great. The help is here for us anytime. Activities are extra nice, always something new for everyone. It would be nice to have fresh garden veggies in the summer as they ripen in fields or garden. We love fresh fruit & veggies.

The activities are amazing, I would give it more than a 5 if I could. My mom is so busy that she barely has time to talk to me, she loves it. They have an activities director and she takes them out on the bus for rides to go shopping, go get ice cream, out to lunch, the farmers market etc. They really encourage the residents to go which I really like because I think they need that. She raves about the food as well, they get a menu to choose from and have a beautiful dining room. The facility itself is beautiful and the grounds are well kept. The staff have been very accommodating and great to work with. I would 100% recommend Cedarhurst of Breese to others looking.

We would not be happier with Cedarhurst of Breese. they have been a blessing all the way around. Not only do they help our father who is a resident there but also our mother who comes to visit almost every single day.

A Place for Mom has scored Cedarhurst of Breese 6 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
