There was no complaints about the food, and my loved one seemed to like the food. My loved one loved the community, and the people who took care of her. They were very caring, and good people. They really care about the elderly. I would recommend to other families. A Place for Mom was so helpful, and is amazing.

I recently removed my mother from Cedar Tree assisted living for many reasons let me start by saying Cedar Tree is not what they claim to be. She was left sitting in urine soaked and often feces soaked adult undergarments water was being withheld so they didn't have to change her she was also on unauthorized medication she also had been intimidated not to say anything to family when we were there there were pressure wounds found by the family and not the caregivers her skin started to break down terribly I have documented my complaints with pictures texts and incidents where I had brought it to the attention of the staff and the owner it would improve for short periods of time but would quickly return to the way it was before food that we brought in and kept in her refrigerator or in the drawers were often taken by staff and not given to her during covid when we are unable to visit in person we visited through doors and windows when able to return her room was filthy

The staff are very friendly and the care taker we have there for our loved one is very good and has a great routine down. She was able to get our loved one into the routine fairly quickly and she really takes the time and effort to give the same amount of care and attention to her other clients. The rooms are a little on the smaller side but they work out well.

Cedar tree is considerably cheaper than the other facilities that we looked into. They seemed to be competent on a nursing level and it is a very nice place. They just seemed to be clueless on a business level which is the only reason we did not go with them.
The facility I visited is called Above & Beyond Care and is affiliated with Cedar Tree. The mother operates Cedar Tree and the daughter operates Above & Beyond care. Facility was very clean and [name removed] was very personable. The facility is located in a very nice neighborhood and ten minutes from my home. [Name removed] explained all the requirements, and we were able to agree on the cost, so my father will be going there on [date removed].

My sister visited here and said the house was clean and maintained well. The residents seemed happy and the staff was friendly. It would be a good fit for Mom.

Very well kept and clean. Residents seems happy. This facility has enough staff on duty compared to other small facilities in the area. I would recommend this facility. The doctor visits and nurse on call when needed.

Absolutely no activities for residents. Zombieville. Very rigid schedule. Lights out at 8:00 p.m. For the first 2 weeks my mom was there she did not see or get any vegetables. After her visitors started to bring her veggies and fruit, the home started serving them. The home is very clean and the staff is friendly. Ok for residents who are not mentally active but my mom is still very sharp. Looking into placing her somewhere else.

My husband was there for three days and I visited each day for hours. They left him in a dark room with a t.v. that only buzzed and had no picture. He asked for food (pudding or ice cream) and they didn't have any they said and gave me a cup of a pink liquid for him. They only refunded a part of the money I paid for the month, even though he was taken from there to the hospital and died one hour later.

Overall it is a good community who prices are about average with comparable communities. They really do not have a lot of activities for the residents; most of them just watch TV or do crossword puzzles. They do not have a secure backyard so if they go outside they have to be watched by the staff. The laundry is done all together and sometimes it seems like maybe they use too much detergent. They take good care of the residents and they maintain it very clean.

Again this was a house, being used for assisted living. I really don't think D would like such a handful of companions. Having said that, Ms. Wade was a most knowledgeable provider when it came to what was needed for care. She actually gave me all the necessary paperwork distinguishing the differences between NJ and MD. The place was immaculate, the food smelled delicious. All staff were friendly to visitors as well as residents. The residents looked well cared for and happy. This location had the loudest and most active [removed]

Manager showed us both facilities. She was very patient with questions. They provide help with incontinence, dementia. They hold drugs in locked area and can get drugs from County Drugs for families if desired. Have nurse review every 45 days. Have cable hock up in rooms.Have security system which announces opening of any door or window to help dementia patients. Have fenced yard. Have RN on call 24/7. Staff trained in CPR, first aid and have passed a criminal background check. Assist with bathing and toileting as needed.

A Place for Mom has scored Cedar Tree Assisted Living 7.7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
