There's a difference between the sales pitch and actual care. I cannot stress enough to maintain control of physician orders vs facility interpretation. Administration and nursing initially dropped the ball which caused behaviors related to lack of medication. Care staff were compassionate and caring but most were not adequately trained or staffed in memory care. Granted, my MIL was a difficult case. Her end of life care was gentle and caring. Surprised at lack of cleanliness in a room with a pretty much non- mobile resident. Appreciated the open door welcome we received in spending time with her. They also looked out for the physical and emotional health of my FIL when he visited her.

The people who work here are genuine. They care about the patients and take good care of them. I'm grateful to be here.
Do not to go there. The staff does not do anything to help the elderly, at least not my mom. Every time I did something to try to help her, the staff undid it. Like she couldn't reach call lights. They did not help her, feed her, nothing. She was a care level 5. I believe she starved and was dehydrated.

the staff is very helpful. would like for bingo to be 2hrs long. need more activities in the afternoons. have had 2 parking signs for 2 months, that are still not put up. I would recommend this facility for anyone.
this place is amazing; good food, great services with kind people to help with whatever services you need.
this place has been a God send for me. I have never felt safer. the staff are so great and kind. I have found my permanent home for life.
everyone has been wonderful with the entire process of getting my mom the right care she needs. the facility is clean and has many activities for everyone to be involved in.
They did very well on care and cleanliness. I was actually very impressed with how clean it was. The main problem was being able to contact and get in touch with them. Many times I would get an answering machine and not get a call back. And I'd have to try several different numbers to get ahold of anybody. That's the main thing they need to improve on. But as far as the people, the care, and the cleanliness, all of that was good.

I am so glad we chose Cascade Valley Assisted Living and Memory Care in Milton Freewater, OR for our Mom's last place. The place is clean and well cared for and the Care givers are great. Our Mom was treated with care and respect. One of the administrators n was great. She visited Mom every day and really enjoyed being with her. The home is a great place to care for your loved one. Thank you to all the staff for making my Mom's last couple of weeks a safe place to be. It is secure and she was able to roam and walk as she wanted. There is even an outside area for the residents to get fresh air. Thank you all for the care you gave my mom.

Moved our mom into assisted living 1/18. Since then management has changed at least 4 times! Overall the care staff are really good., except when they are short staffed, some of the assistance they are supposed to be providing doesn't happen. A lot of this I believe is due to the constant changing management staff. With this constant change we have had many issues when dealing with management. One will tell you one thing, the next tells you something totally different, the next something else. The care staff for the most part has been good with mom. She likes the meals. Has made new friends. Has become more social. She enjoys being there. I would have to say with the exception of the management, the overall experience we have had is positive.

A smaller community (47 units). Which we found to be a better "fit" for our mom. Very clean. Nice apartments. We were shown different options for our mom. [Removed] was very helpful, answered all our questions. She made our mom feel welcome and comfortable. Offered any assistance in getting the process started to moving mom in.
