About the facility Casa Bella Assisted Living

We have three communities in Las Cruces that are owned and operated by three individuals who are native New Mexicans and have a combined Assisted Living Experience of over 30 years. We are involved daily in the communities and are available to our family members and staff 24 hours a day! If there's a concern or an issue, we fix it quickly!

One of the owners, Tracy Ayers, serves as the President of the board for the NM Alzheimer's Association, we all serve on committees for them, and we serve as trainers for their Savvy Caregiver Program. Tracy also received the "Community Hero of the Year" award presented by the NM Alzheimer's Association for 2017.

We were presented with the "Outstanding Professional Award" at the Uniting New Mexicans Against Adult Abuse Conference.

We are dedicated to providing the best possible care to our residents and we believe that those with cognitive impairment do better in a smaller environment, so we have made a commitment to serve NM's elderly in homes that are no larger than 15 residents.

We provide ongoing staff training and all our managers and owners are certified through the National Council of Certified...

Tour experience

I toured Casa Bella but cleanliness was an issue for me and a lack of "safe" places to take a walk with my loved one. It also smelled and that was hard to take.

My Tour Experience at Casa Bella Assisted Living

Casa Bella seemed a little chaotic due to all the care levels being in one area. The community wasn't as clean as I had expected.

Tour experience

Casa Bella is a newer, more modern facility. It is larger and has more residents and when we came to tour it was kind of loud and chaotic. The atmosphere has more of a nursing home type feel to it rather than the homey feel we were looking for. I felt that my loved one would have had a harder time transitioning since she is quiet and likes her privacy. The tour itself felt kind of rushed and we felt some sales pressure, they kept telling us they only had 1 room left that could go at anytime, so to make a decision quickly.

My tour review

I was not comfortable with this community at all. It was not the right fit for my loved ones needs. They did not even know that I was coming and the tour guide was not there to do the tour.

Mom is settling in

Mom likes this place it is brand new and always clean. She is in the memory center it is well lit and warm. The food is good here and you have lots of options to choose from. The staff is really nice. They do physical therapy here by walking around the community. They will clean her room weekly and it smells clean. I would recommend this community.

I feel like I'm getting what I'm paying for

My mom is here right now and so far so good. I’m pretty pleased with everything and everything seems perfect. There’s only one area that I’m not pleased with but that’s being taken care of soon. When the main manager is there, she’s very good at helping my mom with things, but I feel like she should really make sure that the people that are working for her are doing their job. Other than that, I’m happy with everything else. I like the way they treat my mom, they’re really good with that. The facility is very clean and they keep up with everything there. The food is very good. They serve balanced, home cooked meals and she’s even eating more now that she’s there and that’s a positive. The things that matter, they’re really good. I definitely feel like I’m getting my money’s worth for the care that she’s getting and the aids are really nice.

A Place for Pop

When we first found Casa Bella, my dad’s condition had started deteriorating. He had a stage 3 bedsore from a previous facility and we couldn’t seem to get it under control. Whenever I was able to get my dad into Casa Bella, the next time I visited him it had been remedied. This facility is a blessing and I’ve already recommended it to friends. Their staff consists of nurse practitioners and they’re so easy to communicate with. They always seem to have the answer and if they don’t then they find it. The food is alright, it’s definitely nutritious and there’s plenty of it. Everything is always clean. They give baths 3 times a week, the trash is almost nonexistent, the laundry is done daily, and everyone gets the care they need when they need it. This place only holds 10 people so the cost can be a bit much but I’d rather my dad get the care he deserves. There’s plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained like coloring books, games, and other mental activities that stimulate the residents. Cable is even included! The director of this facility is simply wonderful and I couldn’t have chosen a better place for my dad to stay.

Good place for Pop

The director of Casa Bella was the main reason for choosing this place for my father. [Removed] is a terrific person. The place is clean and staffed with friendly help. I do notice that when she is there it runs like a smooth sailing ship. When she is not the help tends to be slacking slightly. Just my observation. I want to thank [Removed] for helping me find this home for pop. As he seems to be adjusting pretty well.

A Place for Mom has scored Casa Bella Assisted Living 9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
