As a micro community, Carter Place can offer a higher staff to resident ratio than many larger communities. The community’s caring professional staff accommodate a variety of needs, including assistance with activities of daily living, diabetic care, ambulatory support, incontinence care, and memory support. Residents also have access to on-site speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and podiatry services. The home is also equipped with wheelchair-accessible showers.
Carter Place has access to public transportation and offers its own transportation services at cost, so residents can venture out at their convenience. Community members also enjoy daily home cooked meals and stimulating social activities. My mother-in-law had excellent care here during her last phase of life. The place is spotless and spacious; yet it feels like a warm home. I enjoyed seeing all the residents eating around the large central table. Tom and his family and staff do an excellent job of relating to the seniors.
