It has been a difficult adjustment for my mother and for us but the staff is trying their hardest to accommodate our needs. The house is very clean and well kept, and they are meticulous about keeping mom clean and well groomed. Her room is also always neat and clean and pleasant, thanks to the ladies at Carinos. The ladies are very knowledgeable about how to take care of my mom. They are keeping the communication open between us, and when we disagree on something we just talk things out and they are respectful and very kind. The food at the community is okay but not great. There are fresh vegetables every day, but much of the other food is canned or frozen, heated in the microwave. When I suggest some additional foods for my mom, they try to incorporate them. I would say to anyone considering this community you should have several conversations about the price early in the process so that you understand the cost. I did not do this and ended up being surprised how much the cost went up from the initial quote I was given. I would recommend this community.... Read more

Carinos Quality Home Care should not even be in business. My mom passed away here of COVID and they did not take the right measures to keep residents safe and they lied to us. One of the owners was traveling back and forth and he was the one who brought COVID into the facility. I would never recommend this community to anybody.

We moved my 94 year old mother in law into Carinos Quality Home Care. She had been there less than two weeks when we found out that all of the care takers and one of the owners became ill and went home. When we asked them about the caregivers being ill we were told they had sciatica problems but did not have the covid-19 virus. Subsequently, we found that not only the caregivers and one of the owners, but all of the guests had now tested positive with covid-19! Had the Carinos told us the truth about testing positive for covid-19 we would have relocated my mother in law immediately. We never got a straight story from the Carinos about the true cause of the illnesses until it was too late and she was rushed to the hospital with a suspected stroke. My mother in law has spent 5 weeks so far in a covid-19 ward of a hospital. We cannot in good conscience recommend the Carinos Quality Home Car to anyone.
