My husband has been in Canyon Creek memory care for over a year, it has been a difficult journey to accept the fact that I was not able to care for him at home. During the first months of adjustment all the staff were caring and compassionate not only for my husband but for me as well. I highly recommend Canyon Creek memory care, the residents are treated as family, the food is great, the rooms are clean, but most of all the staff is amazing. The Director always has time to chat over concerns and those concerns are taken care of right away.

I am a this facility about 4-5 times a week-the staff works hard. I'm overall very happy with Canyon Creek Memory Care. My loved one is very alert and loves it there, the staff is very friendly, she'is always clean, the faciity is clean, meals are regular and look good. {name removed] the Admin is onsite doing hands on everything as well as all staff to make this a great place. Highly recommended.

Overall, I think my sister is very well cared for. Most care staff is extremely kind and helpful. Marketing Director who recently left was extremely kind and helpful. Activities had been rather sparse but have improved significantly in both quality and quantity since arrival of current Activites Director. I rate food poor in both quality and quantity. I appreciate that they do laundry, however; clean laundry seems to be put away in a jumbled mess.

The daily activites that engage the seniors have been so fun! Popcorn, movies, bubbles and popsicles are the best.

No facility is 100%; there is always room for improvement. Overall rating is between 3-4. My mother has been a resident here a little over a month and I do appreciate your staff, and how they strive to get the residents the best care.

Staff friendly, my mom been there for about 6 months now everytime I go in there the staff is attentive to her needs and very friendly with me, they take the time to listen to my concerns and help in anyway needed. This is the second place my mom has been admitted and will be the last for I feel very comfortable with her being there. Also they have some great activities and give residents the option to participate or not. When I went to see her they had a live band come in to visit them my mom loved that. So much encouragement

Let me start off by saying wow!!!! I see there are a lot of negitive that people have stated but my mother stays there and has been there for years, I have seen a lot of changes new management recently came in and take the time and care the residents need! Everytime I walk in they are doing some type of activity with the staff. My mom likes to wonder and the staff take the time to walk and talk with her…staff is great and I am so appreciative of everything they do the care they put in to everything to make sure the days go by good!!!

My loved one is currently a resident at Canyon Creek Memory Care and I don't like it. I'm planning on moving her very soon. The facility is unkept and dirty. There's a high turnover rate. Several families have removed their loved ones since February. I would never recommend this facility to others.

Very disorganized, rude admin staff, very understaffed on the care units. I never saw an aide when there with mu husband. Their service level was supposedly one aide per ten residents, but usually only one aide worked two contiguous units and oversaw as many as twenty residents. No enrichment programs or activities. Only tv. On warm days, the offices were well air conditioned, but the patient areas were not. Often smelled if urine and waste. BEWARE!

For whatever the reason a family is looking for a facility, it's a difficult time for all involved. They made the experience a pleasant one. I've become familiar with staff and residents. I can be a daughter again. I'm relieved my mom is cared for 24/7.

The activities director and I butted heads pretty badly. One day I was talking to her about how I was going to use a specific physical & occupational therapy company and she turned her nose up at them and it bothered me. A few days later told I was offended by her response, how I thought it was a unprofessional, and she should keep her opinion to herself. She wouldn't speak to me again after that and she made it very awkward. On a scale from 1-10, it was 200. She made it extremely awkward when I went to visit my mom. I tried to get past it, but she wouldn't move on. It was just the most horrible experience I had working with a community. I tried to tell the ADON, but she acted like she didn't know what was going on. She didn't try to address it, it was almost like she was scared of her herself. No one did anything about the way I was treated. It was very crappy to be treated like I was a second class citizen. She made it extremely obvious; she'd be extremely friendly to everyone else. I'd rather my mom live on the street than Canyon Creek. They didn't do basic things and my mom regressed. Every time I went, she smelled like urine and I didn't feel they took good care of her. I felt extremely uncomfortable talking to anyone at the front because of the way things went with that lady. We've moved her and we're very happy. I'm glad I'm able to speak up and she's happier. I'm treated with kindness, dignity and respect. No one should be treated the way I was treated. If she can't have thick enough skin to be confronted about what she said, she shouldn't be working there.

This facility has been nothing but drama. They have allowed my parent to fall and lay in the floor All night with a broken arm with no one checking on her. They never change the bedding, family has to do that and clean the floors. She was given the wrong meds. She says she never sees a nurse practitioner, or doctor. She was a diabetic going in, and they could never get her meds adjusted. They do not give you a choice of foods. If you do not like what they bring, you do without. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

we toured Canyon Creek Memory Care and it was a good experience and tour. we chose another community because we felt that their memory care environment was better suited for our loved ones needs.
The staff was good with reacting to the residents' needs. the communication between the staff and our family was good and they kept us well informed and returned calls back quickly. I would recommend this community to others.
