I have been living at Canterbury Court Apartments for a little over 2 years. I am glad I moved here. I am very happy with this complex/community. The new manager, [Name removed], and her staff have done a great job. Many good and positive changes have taken place and I am hearing about more great changes coming in near future. I would highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a clean and quiet complex to live. A wide variety of shopping very nearby. Even a Starbucks across the street. Very nice place to live and relax.... Read more

Relatively quiet, if you live by the office area. Near the laundry/picnic area, there are occasionally homeless, drugged out people loitering in the laundry rooms and on the grounds also stealing private property. No security on the grounds. Senior complex? I am not so sure anymore. We have a woman, her dog, her boyfriend, her son, who likes to beat on women, her son's girl and their baby all living in the smallest apartment, since last [date removed]. Otherwise, it is quite nice. Nice neighbors!! You decide.

If I could go lower I would. This place is the worst place I have ever lived in my life. The Clubhouse has been closed for 3 months, the lawns are not cared for (there are 4 ft weeds in front of my front door). When I went to address this to the manager, I was told it was not the top priority, that she was "overwhelmed". Understanding that new people need time, it has been 6 weeks and nothing has been done yet. Instead, trash is being tossed into those weeds. Residents can back into the parking spots which are approx 5-6 ft away from a number of the bottom apartment windows (bedroom and living room). You get to enjoy the exhaust from your neighbors. My contract specified no smoking unless in designated areas. There are NO signs designating any such areas yet people smoke all over the place. I have cigarette butts in front of my patio. You are supposed to have a sticker to park here. There has been flagrant abuse of this, guests staying the night. We have been told that this will change when we get new stickers and a new towing company....Next month. The sign to this community says "Retirement"...yet there are people well under the age of 55 living here. Allegedly this is supposed to change too, but if they are changing the age limits, wouldn't it be nice to let us know? We no longer have 24 hr on - site Managers living here. Transients have been found sleeping in the laundry rooms, elevators and around the trash bins. The trash bins are constantly filthy because people just throw their trash and if it lands in the bin, great, but a lot of the times it doesn't. Many people do not clean up after their dogs and the lawns have "doggie land mines". Some are off leash. BBQs have been outlawed on the common patio. Because of the lack of parking spots, the "Guest Parking" has been eliminated so guests, park instead in front of the apartments, thus blocking people from backing out of their spots (which results in residents blowing the horn repeatedly to get the offender out of the apartment) or they blatantly park in the lot, especially on weekends when the office is not open. This is not a good place to live.

People were very nice however the apts seemed dated and a little dingy. Seemed expensive for the size of what you get. Building seemed a bit in disrepair.
