The community was pleasant and friendly during my family member's stay. Staff is friendly. Price seemed relevant. The assisted living residents seemed happy and well entertained. Frequent staffing changes in the dementia unit had a downside. Also, that unit would benefit from a director and/or more nursing supervision. Many times when aides were busy there would be no one to keep an eye on the residents in the day room. The activities should be daily with memory specific things and more use of their porch & courtyard in nice weather. It would also be nice to see some brighter remodeling/decor and new furniture. Dementia residents deserve that. Overall , we had a good experience but would like to see the above things improve. The strong point was seeing that many staff members cared for their residents.

I do not recommend Cambridge Place Assisted Living The staff brings their young children to work because it's the only way they can show up to worked on needed shifts. It is not safe. There are areas of improvement - wrong distribution of medications caused our loved one to be hospitalized 2 times at their facility.

Our mother has dementia and is very comfortable at Cambridge Place. The staff is very attentive and loving and treats her like family. She lives in the memory care unit, and has a beautiful room with nice scenery outside her window. We are very happy with our experience.

The staff makes an effort to know the residents and accommodate their individual likes. They have been proactive concerning my Mother's health issues.

Cambridge Place was my loved ones second choice, he really liked [name removed]. The staff were wonderful and answered all of our questions. They had a very large room available, but it did not have a separate bedroom, it was more of a studio and he wanted to have that separate room.
We visited a bunch of facilities when looking for a place for my mom. We have been very pleased with Cambridge Place Assisted Living. In a time where you have to trust people because you are not able to be there with your loved one, I have no question on the care that she is receiving here, and that says a lot. It is very apparent that all of the staff members here care about their residents. I am very picky, but after the tour this was the only place I walked out and said this is the one. I cannot say enough nice things about this facility, I would highly recommend them to anybody.

Nice place and friendly people. My biggest concern is there are no RN's there, only LPN's. I want a higher level of caretakers for my Mother. My other concern is, they are private pay only, so once you run out of money...youre out.

Things have gone very well at Meridian at Cambridge so far, we have been very impressed! The facility is clean and well kept, the staff are friendly, and from what I have seen the food looks very good! I'd give them top marks across the board, the residents seem well looked after, and my loved one has settled in well.

My 91 year old father has dementia and since summer 2014 has taken a sharp decline. Our family decided to move him out of his home and into assisted living. My first mistake was trying to find an assisted living close to his home. After spinning my wheels for 6 months, I finally got him into one. But within a couple of days they wanted him out because he was demonstrating dementia-like behaviors, like urinating in inappropriate places and walking into other residents' rooms. Now I was desperate to find a place fast. I remembered Meridian at Cambridge. I had talked with the executive director a month earlier, but had decided their 40 miles distance from Dad's home was too far. But now I realized that finding the perfect residence for him should be independent of location. In addition to an assisted living in the front of their building, they have a locked memory care unit in the back. "Memory Care" is what is needed for Alzheimer's and dementia patients. The staff is not distressed by the seemingly strange behaviors of these residents and are trained to redirect them. I knew this was a better fit for Dad. I called Meridian's executive director again and she jumped into high gear, along with the community relations director. They helped me get him admitted into a behavioral hospital for a few days of evaluation to make sure nothing serious was wrong. After 5 days he was released and Meridian at Cambridge had a room waiting. By the second day I could see Dad visibly relaxed as he began to settle in. If he displays any behavior out of the normal, like a stomach ache or a bout of confusion, a nurse calls and lets me know. His room is large and sunny and clean. Aides put him to bed and get him up in the morning, checking on him repeatedly during the night. They make sure he comes to every meal and they serve him snacks in between meals. All the staff are warm and friendly towards him. They think he is charming and very polite. They have been taking him out of Memory Care to the front Assisted Living for activities. It's specialized care at an affordable price. I am very pleased and feel so fortunate to have gotten Dad into Meridian at Cambridge! The food is horrid, they are short staffed, although the aids & some of the nurses are very good, they just don't have enough people there to help. They have the state minimum of aids employed there, and most new people hired, leave because of the heavy work load, and lack of respect from their boss. The ones sitting behind the desks are the ones to be concerned with.

I enjoyed the tour and meeting the staff. A very friendly place. Brook is a very knowledgeable person about the programs. The apartments are great. The only main concern is the distance from my house to visit and we will be waiting to see if the VA funding could be used to assist with the living costs. Many things to think about.

The staff is very nice. I like that the level of care doesn't change, the care is inclusive, we don't have to worry about going up in levels. She is doing really good there. She is up and walking with a walker, and she is well supervised. She is happy, it's peaceful there, the deer will come right up to the windows and look in at you. And all of the people are so nice.
